I also keep getting faxes from this "travel-1" outfit, about once every 2 or 3 months.  The name of the company (any company) doesn't appear on the fax.

The faxes are for cruises or disney or some combination.  Prices seem to be $389.  Faxes are directed to Canadians (price is quoted in Canadian dollars).  Phone number advertised on fax is 800-871-4602, but the number sent by the fax machine (printed across the top in small print) is 800-523-4587.  The "remove" number is 866-881-4784.  I called the 871 number and the lady that answered said that Travel 1 is located in Houston Tx.

I've called previously (800-991-5733) and they've said they're located in Columbia SC.

Each time I call, I threaten legal action with the FTC (federal trade commission).  Seems to have no effect.

Who are these klowns?  Where is this "Travel-1" really located?  Who is behind it?  What are some real phone numbers for them?

Like the other writers, I have used the "fax removal number" two dozen times and keep on getting spammed.

I have spoken with someone there who purports to be the manager who told me her name was Maggie, and she assured me that she would stop the junk faxes and they keep on coming.  

I wish the government would force them to stop.

Like the rest of you, I have requested having my fax number removed many, many times.  Now I have given up and just pass their number on to the RCMP fraud squad along with my complaint.  Try sending your complaints to info@phonebusters.com.  Once the RCMP gets inundated by complaints they will have to act, and through their network can nab these idiots regardless of which country they hide in.

Now, let's review things, here...
You lie;
You contact people in violation of federal law in such a way that it costs them money for paper and toner;
You hide who you are;
You post rude, self-serving, whining remakrs on sites designed to expose companies like yourselves who are doing all of the above.
Why on earth would anyone NOT post a negative comment about you?  And, since you've posted that rude, whining, self-serving series of comments here, you've just validated all the complaints.  
Over the years we realize that most persons that do post such rude, self-serving, whining remarks on the internet are usually unhappy persons that want the rest of the world to be unhappy with them.

Well then, What is the name and adress of the travel company? Why do they hide their contact information? Any company that spams and hides their info can be understood to be doing something shady. Any legitimate company provides their street adress when requested.
You do not....so much for an honest company.  What they are doing by sending  unsolicited faxes is against the law.

This so-called travel agency is obviously a slimy outfit. We have received numerous unwanted and unsolicited junk faxes from them.

The ridiculous posts above claiming that most recipients of these junk faxes are happy to receive them are absurd. In over 20 years of being in business and having countless discussions with other business people, I have yet to meet a single person who wants to receive unsolicited faxes.

In many jurisdictions there are laws attempting to combat junk faxes. Do you really think these laws would exist if most people wanted this garbage?

Suggestion to "Travel1" and "?" commenters: Stop being parasites and join the human race; you might actually like it.

For a company that has been in business 10 yrs ,why is there no company identification on the fax. Lack of business transparency - very suspect.

I have called 16 times over the 3 months to be removed from this list without success.

After speaking to them on numerous occaasions (approx 14) and being assurred and "guaranteed" that our fax number has been removed, we received another 3 faxes today.

What a scam agency!!

faxed to me...$389 per person for all of this....4 days, 3 nights Orlando Fl Disney, 3 days 2 nights Ft. Lauderdale, 3 day 2 night Bahama cruise and the BONUS if you order today 3 days 2 nights in Vegas. I am in Canada, $389 is listed Canadian price. Sounds almost too good to be true. DUH!

I receive junk faxes from these people on a daily basis. They refuse to remove fax numbers and if you complain...they just keep coming.

What I find funny is that one poster says that they are "professionals". Wouldn't a true  professional organization listen to potential clients and STOP annying them every day?

If you are so "professional" why don't you STOP the daily faxes? Wouldn't that  create good customer relations instead of pissing us all off?????

Let's see if any Travel1 emplyees dares to answer that question. I bet they won't because they don't have the guts.

As an employee of Travel 1 it saddens be to read all of the BS that is posted on the internet by persons that have never had dealings or even purchased a product from our company.

The internet is the biggest scam in existence. The mere existence of the internet and sites such as these let any person trash any companies reputation  or phone number In fact most of these internet phone sites are set up to extort money from legit businesses to clean up there reputation that was not ever bad to start. (Look up 800 notes scam)

We take very good care of our customers and give them everything that they are promised. We are not scammers or wanted in any states for fraud. We do not post our address or contact info on the internet because it is misused by all of the scammers that trash legitimate companies like ours. If you bought a product from our company you were given multiple contact numbers as well as emailed receipts and documentation with our address and phone numbers.

People that continually post negative information on a phone number usually have never even purchased the product that they are complaining about. The company that owns this number is a licensed travel agency that has been in business for over 10 years. The company in question has traveled tens of thousand of happy customers. We do not appreciate persons posting inappropriate comments about a company that they do not know anything about.

We do send out faxes and most of the recipients are happy to receive them so that they can take a vacation that they normally could not afford to do otherwise.
We remove anyone that contacts us with their fax number that does not wish to receive or advertisements (remember it cost us to send these so if you don't want it we don't want to waste our money)Please check your 800's on your faxes there are hundreds of companies that do similar promotions. Please check your faxes and I guarantee that the 800?s are always different because they are from different senders.

Let me be the first to tell you how to spot a travel scam. If you are ever approached by a company that requests a check over the phone or a money order I would steer clear reason being is that the particular company cannot qualify for a merchants account to process credit cards.

Isn't it funny that the posting from "?" is trying to justify their companies refudsal to remove our fax numbers?? They NEVER remove faxes and as a matter of fact - when we called to complain, they sent 18 - yes 18 faxes PER DAY for 3 weeks!!!

The comments from "?" have been copy and pasted on 6 or 7 other sites that have complained about these a$$holes.

The fax itself is illegal. Nobody running a legit business uses an illegal marketing tool like junk fax.

What more need be said? If you do business with the crooks who sent you the fax, well, you're doing business with crooks. Scams are run by crooks. These are crooks. THIS IS A SCAM.

This company is currently being investigated by the police in 4 states for fraud and money laundering. They will refuse to remove your fax number and if you complain they will swear and hang up on you. Then - within 5 minutes - you will receive multiple junk faxes over and over. I have received 18 in one stretch of an hour.

If they keep harassing you, contact the toll free number of the attorney general's office in Florida and add your name to the long list of people who have complained.
