I recieved a call from a very nice gentleman named Jared Simpson who called from Power seller college regarding internet opportunities. My first thought was "how do i get off the phone" I had heard theese calls before or thought i did until i gave Jared 5 mins that has changed my life! The first thing he INSISTED we do is due dilligence on his organization. Every avenue  i could think of and several others were covered and all had possitive feedback and rave things to say. The BBB the online BBB, Dunn and Bradstreet, the chamber of commerce and a few more. That was a shock! It was a nice shock but then we watched testamonials and he covered so much insightful information that i understood why it was on invitation basis only! I MAKE THOULSANDS of calls each week to people just like yourself to find the very best of the best he stated. The company that they share a building with does something similar but is in no way related. My last check was $1,134 and the one prior was $2,812 they can work on the moon for all i care as long as they continue helping me reach my goals. Its just over 70days so i'll check back at the 6 month mark my goal is pretty aggressive 5k+ per month! Im on track, they have helped many make money online and all the credentials prove that! My advice. Make sure your working with Power Seller College! Its that simple!

Recieved a voice mail from John Evans identifying himself with "Client Services" referencing a grant my mother supposedly applied for. Called back to the extension number he left, 2235, and got his voice mail. Hung up without leaving a message.  Sounds like a scam to me.

Telemarketer
I received a call from this number also claiming they were a grants department..  I asked a lot of questions for which there were too few answers.  Tyler told me he was from Utah.  Like I have read from most of you, almost the first question asked is if I had a lot of credit card debt.  Hmmmm, told him I needed to review with my husband so I would have to get back to him.  Now that I know the truth, that will not happen.

This number calls me all the time.  But, I learned a long time ago not to answer the phone if I don't recognize the number.  If they leave a message, I'll call back.  These people never leave a message.  I just wish my cell phone service would let me block numbers like this, 'cause they're a pain in the butt.

I received a call this evening from a woman who identified herself as Anna T. and said she had heard that I was looking to file for a Government Grant. She was sooooo nice and sounded sooooooo concerned. I was curious as to how she new I was after a Grant, and she said, you sent for a couple books lately, right?  I agreed that I had and she said she was following up and would help me file for a grant. She asked a few questions and was mostly concerned with how much debt I and/or my husband had on our credit cards.
She said she would submit the information and that she would know by tomorrow if it was approved or not and she would call me. I decided to plug in the 800 # in Google and here it is.  I'm very thankful for this web site.

I too have been receiving calls from this number.I am guilty of late night TV infomercials. I order the books"Getting Grants and Funds From The Government" and ever since have received calls from the grant specialists quaranteeing that if I pay them $2800.00 they guarante grants for a business and medical bills.

Does anyone out there if this is legitate or not? Has anyone ever gotten a grant that they did not have to pay back from the government?

There is an old saying when something sounds to good to be true run the other way!

Feedback please!!!!!

My mom recieved a call from this number from a woman who claimed she was from the grants departmart with funding resources. This woman claims that she has been trying to get a hold of my mom this week, because she has "Mom's Profile On Her Desk and that the offer is open to Monday and the caller is there til 6pm. " The caller never mention what kind of offer until the end of the phone call and referred to it as "A Stimulus".

Recently, my mom brought a book about "Getting Grants and Funds From The Government" from a television informericial that is shown regularly on late night after network programing is concluded.
Much like Scam Buster's situation, how these calls begin is by buying something from late night informericals. The man who wrote this book was found guilty of credit card fraud, and more recently trying to bribe a judge beforehand before trial.

Do not buy by anything from late night informericals, if it is sounds too good to be true, it is. If you're not sure about the product in question google it. Follow Scam Buster's advice :  Do not ever buy anything you see marketed on TV. The products are junk and you get added to telemarketer data bases that will call you even though you are on the "Do not call list". If you have, cancel your credit card and get a new one to prevent ID theft.

Do not give out any personal ID, credit card numbers, or other info that can be used to steal your identity.

I received a call yesterday from this number and a person named Sonny asked different questions about grants I was interested in because I purchased the book Free Money.  Today, I received a call from Jaime Anderson, Grants Director.  Ms. Anderson asked me if I was serious about getting a grant, and I informed her that I was.  This was my first suspicion.

She went onto to say that I would have to take 6 class to learn how to write a grant and it would cost $3,055.  I asked Ms. Anderson would there be a payment plan.  Ms. Anderson informed me that I would have to put it on my credit card, and I had to do it today.  At this point, I defenitely knew that this was a scam.  I informed Ms. Anderson that we would like to think about it because we were having dinner.  Ms. Anderson then became very rude and told me that I wasted 25 minutes of her time.

I purchased a book about free government grants. At the time of ordering I was explicite about not wanting any follow-up secondary products or services. The material arrived and was reviewed to be substandard. Next thing is this guy is calling me to provide me with more "government grants" for sale. Why didn't they put it in the book I just paid for??? When I told the caller I did not want to be in any data bases, or called, he told me to "Shove it up my a**".

Do not ever buy anything you see marketed on TV. The products are junk and you get added to telemarketer data bases that will call you even though you are on the "Do not call list". If you have, cancel your credit card and get a new one to prevent ID theft.

They put the hard sell on you, and I didn't like it.  I think I know how they got my number.  I asked for their application, and when the rep said he couldn't do that, then I knew something was fishy.

Hmmm, you found your way here but are somehow unaware that

EACH AND EVERY SCHEME TO GET YOU TO PAY MONEY FOR GOVT GRANTS ON INFO ABOUT GOVT GRANTS is a SCAM: EVERY ONE NO EXCEPTIONS WHATSOEVER.

Hope you weren't out much, but you have now been identified as a sucker by the scammers, and if you sent them any account information such as for a credit card they will start draining it. So get a clue before it's too late and cancel any account that you may have given them.

Lesson learned?
