Calls multiple times per day.

people...before you make any payments for your payday loan check out these two things first..
ist... make sure the SOL hasn't passed on your loan,some of you said its been 4 years and i know some states SOL is three years and as you know if the SOL has passed they cannot sue you or ruin your credit..
2nd...go to ask .com and type in this question..WHAT STATES ARE ILLEGAL FOR A PAYDAY LOAN...if you happen to live in one of these states they cannot sue you,,you will have to pay the original balance back minus any payments or processing fees you already paid...
of course they will lie to you but the law is on your side 100%.
please check it out and you can save yourself a lot of monies,,one more thing if the company says to you if you knew it was illegal why did you borrow the monies all you have to say i just found out yesterday it was illegal...these firms hate it when you know the law

I am going to attempt to record the next call and see if they even give the basic mini miranda which if not, is a clear violation of the FDCPA..if you dont know what that is, you should google it

Also got the call. called them back, spoke to thomas. same thing..payday loan from a few years ago. I used to work in the business and this is totally not legal.  Britney is leavinginfo on an answering machine about serving papers.  I talked to thomas and he is willing to settle my 5500.00 case for 1250.00.  I asked for confirmation of the deal and he has not sent anything.

Ha i just recieved a call from them a few hours ago and was told it was from a payday loan from 2006 well I called them back and told them I'm unemployed so sue me lol ...I have nothing to take i offered to give them $25 a week till i get back to work they refused so if they take me to court i will tell the judge i offered to pay a little back till i got back to work so they refused to take money.

why don't you just all pay your bills and then you'll never have to worry about them hassling you?

Yeah, a friend of mine at a place I used to work at told me that Brittnay Powers called there too. She left a message regarding "legal papers" being served. I'm going to call my local courthouse as well and see if a lawsuit has been filed. I had a payday loan taken out a few years ago as well. Payday loans have since been outlawed in the state of NC where I live.

Has been a busy day for them i see. I just recieved the very same call from a Britney Powers, "restricted # left a voice message to call the 1-877-499-8190 number about a civil suit. I contacted the court house and no such summons has been filed against me so their threat of serving me next Tuesday is obfiously fraudulent

Did they ever come?

This same number called me and I believe it is from pay day loans. I had one about four to six years ago. Since then, legislation has passed in my state about how unconstitutional they are. The caller left a message with my mom but would not give the name of the company. They say they are going to serve me papers on Monday. Looks like they would just do it and not tell me to call a number or am I crazy

I received a call from this number a few hours ago. The message was to contact them and failure to do so would result in a call back at a later date to set up a time to serve me a court summons. Seems like from these postings, they've been very active today.

I just got one of these calls. I called the number and they say it was a for a payday loan from 4 years ago. The company name they gave me was IAG. they said if they serve the papers, I will have to appear before a judge for fraud and bad check. They said I could settle and I'm almost tempted to so they will go away but I don't know what to do! Please advise

its an ILLEGAL SCARE TACTIC -  The intent is to SCARE you into paying them money on a debt YOU DO NOT OWE, they cannot PROVE you owe and they HAVE NO LEGAL RIGHT TO COLLECT IT.

They HOPE you do not know that what they are doing is ILLEGAL. YOU can SUE them for this!

1st call to make is to your local courthouse - they can tell you if a lawsuit has been filed or not.  They cannot serve you if they have never filed with YOUR local courthouse.  

2nd  READ and follow the instructions listed in these links!  ITS IMPORTANT that YOU NOT IGNORE this as the REAL SLEAZY ILLEGAL COLLECTORS will not give up easily.

Receiving numerous calls from 1-877-449-8190. The call mentioned that civil documents needed to be served to me at my home, and if I was not reachable they would come to a place of employment.  I receive these calls at least 2 to 3 times a day. This is a scam.

Did you ever get visited?

I got a call from a restricted number on my cell phone. They left a voicemail for me to call them at this number. The man spoke extremely fast, I think he said his name was Chris, and something about a legal affidavit, I am the main member of the case, he listed my last two known addresses and said someone named Lisa K? would be out tomorrow, so he suggests that I be at home. He says if I am not at home, they will go to my place of employment, which they didn't say where that was, and have my supervisor sign for it. He said I should be at home with a valid ID, maybe two forms of ID? and a witness? It seemed very collection agency-ish. We shall see if Lisa shows up! No mention of who he was calling for or about, which I found odd, just call this number and we're going to be at your house tomorrow!!
