What company are you collecting for

What type of debt are they trying to collect. I've paid my bills?

Only thing I have to disagree with is that person may very well be getting contacted for over a year. They may have to sell it off but doesn't mean that stops their attempts from contacting you. I've had the debtor AND collection agencies contact me for well over a year till I moved. For the same debt. I explained to all I had health issues and was unable to work at the time but they still continued.

They call but don't say anything, or hang up. Please stop!

ASI, calls every day, they never leave a message, I don't know who they are look for or what they want.  When my answer machine picks up, they hang up.

They wanted me to verify my address.  I told them if you think its me send me a letter. I filled bankruptcy earlier in the year and have no debt.  These people are just scammers.

They called me and told me they needed to verify my information before proceeding.  Then they asked me for my social security number.  Seriously?  I told the lady I would call her back at home during dinner and ask for her SSN and if she gives it to me I would give her mine.   She didn't think it was funny so I hung up.  Finally found out they are collecting for Windstream's land line phone service.  Great, except I don't have Windstream phone service and never did.

Just some helpful advice as lately I have been receiving a lot of collection calls. After a bill is charged off a collection company cannot collect. The statuate of limitations is only three years for collection. Bottom line if the bills was charged off they cannot get anything from a collection agency. That is called consumer fraud. Each bank or credit cared company has a liability insurance that insurance pays for the past due debt after a period of time. Anyone who tries to collect that money other than the banker it is illegal. One makes first a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission then through you state attorney.Or the state it is being called from of which is the business is not a legal business. It is called consumer fraud. End of story....

I received a call from this phone number. I did not answer it because it was more than likely a telemarketer. I am on the "Do Not Call" list, but apparently these people ignore that.

The person using  1-800-741-1969  has called 6 times in the last hour   we don't know them and  would like to report them.

we changed our phone # last september...2012...we had a business #,  my husband retired so we no longer needed to pay the high fee for a business #...so windstream gives us a recycled #,,,we came to realize that within a week after getting the new #....that someone who a lot of collection agencies are trying to track down...had that # before us...i googled the name they were asking for.. saw she is still in the area...so collection agencies....give it a try...use google and find her and leave us alone....thanks

Got this annoying call asking personal information, but would not tell me anything about there reason for calling. They kept trying to ask the same questions in different ways.

Download a "silence ring tone" for your smartphone and assign that "tone" to this caller.  I list them as "Blocked Caller".  At least you will not hear them ringing you on your cell phone.

Actually, you can tell them to stop calling you even if you are the person they are looking for.  By law they can only call one more time to inform you of the steps they will take against you, but after that one call, they are required by law to stop calling.

I informed them wrong number, keep calling and trying to get me to verify information, I refuse and she was not so nice.

I get about three to four calls a day from this number.  I have no debts in collection, so I don't know why my number is on their list.  They never answer nor do they leave messages.  I'm pretty sick of this.

This number calls me two or three times a day, at work, every day but does NOT leave any messages. I am not just going to call a number that shows up on my voicemail caller ID. LEAVE A MESSAGE and you will probably get a return phone call. Pretty much a no brainer.

WOW talk about rude.  Asked what this was concerning and her reply was "dont have time for games" and hung up on me

This is an illegitimate collection agency - they practice unfair and rude business, using threats and unacceptable language. All dealings with them needs to be reported to put them in check or out of business. They have been reported by some for attempting to collect false and expired debts with out providing original creditor information. Know your rights. No one has the right to harass you.

it only takes a few moments of your time. I am sick of being harassed by these incompetent rude employees that work for an illegitimate collection agency trying to collect money on debts that do not even exist.
