I have a car loan through Scotiabank. They called to offer me an additional line of credit. Do not want.

I got a call from this number a few minutes ago.  When I called them back, there was a recorded message saying it was ScotiaBank and their offices are closed.  These dufuses have been calling me from several phone numbers ever since I got my unlisted number about a year ago.  I assume they are trying to reach the person who had the number before me but they have never been at the other end of the phone when I have answered it and they have never left a message.  My name is in my outgoing message and if they bothered to listen to it, they would realize they had the wrong number.  I don't have an account with ScotiaBank, never have and never will.  I have a Scene card but I haven't given them my new unlisted number.  Are they breaking a law?  If they aren't breaking the law, we need tighter legislation.

Scotiabank's ticker symbol is BNS.  If you say it fast enough it sounds like "Be an a$$".

This number and another 800 US number calls me daily at the same time every day! Just got another call now. I'm on a prepaid cell phone which would make answering a call from the US very expensive so I don't answer. I really wish they would just give up and stop calling.

They said I was pre-approved for a $10,000 line of credit. I thanked him for the call and said that I was fine with what I already had from ScotiaBank. He thanked me for my time. Very polite. If you just answer the phone and tell them politely that you're not interested that should stop them from calling back every (for a month of so anyway, haha).

I had been getting phone call from this number every single day for 2-3 weeks. So annoying.
Finally I picked up and yelled at them "Never call this number any more!!!" Lets see what happen tomorrow.
I don't care who or which company calling, just so annoying calling every single day WITHOUT leaving message!

this number is Scotiabank. It works on a mass call program. It calls multiple numbers in your area first person to answer gets to talk to them. I suggest adding the number to your phones block caller if it has one.

Called at 430pm, nobody there when I answered

This # calls our house every weekday night between 7:30-8:30 pm. I finally called back during the day and they answered as Scotiabank. Just their telemarketing division and you can be asked to be removed from their list but it takes ~30 days they said. -Sidenote they did seem to want extra info but all I gave was my name and # which is clearly all they had anyway.

Many call around 7:30 - 8:00 Don't leave any voice mail if I don't pick up. If I pick up there is noone at other end.

I answered the call; it was a call from Scotiabank offering a credit line account for Scotiabank customers.

They've called eight times in the last ten days.
No one there when I answer.
No voicemail when I don't.
Added to my phone's "block list"... No more calls.  :)

Missed tons of calls from this #. The few times I picked up, the call dropped...

Got a call on June 14.  No message.  Call display says "Plymouth VLG AU"

Got a call today-Saturday and blocked my # and called back, it was Scotiabank. However, got voice mail saying that their office is currently closed. Whats up with that?!? Another scam?
