Received this call as well, with a robo-voice mail. Called the main Bank of the West number to be safe and they verified it was them and transferred me to the fraud department.

This is indeed Bank of the West. They called to verify debit purchases as "momma" explained. I also called the main number first to ask if this was a legitimate call and they verified that it was. If in doubt call Bank of the West's main number and they will transfer you to the fraud department.

THIS IS A SCAM! DO NOT GIVE ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION TO THESE PEOPLE! They will call saying they are from the fraud detection department of your bank. This is a lie. I called my bank and they do not know who these people are. They will ask for your Credit or Debit card number to "verify" your information. Do not give it to them!

This is Bank of the West verifying charges on your debit/credit card to make sure there is no fraud involved. I call the main bank number to verify before I returned the phone call. All verification was electronic.
