I turned the tables on discover card. They called me 4-5 times a day. I started to call them back I called them up fifty times in one hour. I refused to give then info and kept calling back finally a supervisor came on and told me i was harrasing them. They said they are going to call the cops. I told them to quit calling me and i am not paying the bill. If they kept calling me iI would call them a hundred time an hour until they stopped. Guess what it worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They have not called me in three days. I have done this to 3 credit card companies and they stopped calling me.

Somebody kept calling my phone too, but they were looking for someone named Olga. They kept leaving messages on my phone everyday because I never pick up the phone when they're calling. I finally got mad because they kept calling early in the morning and waking up my baby, so I picked it up and told them no one by this name lived here...it turned out they thought they were calling an office number and not a home number. I explained to them that they're calling wrong number. The next week, they started calling back again. This time, I was really mad because I already told them it was the wrong number. I yelled at them not to call here anymore and I think they finally listened because the calls have stopped. I tried looking up the phone number in the reverse yellow page look up, but it didn't show who the number belongs to.

From what I understand this # 800.767.1846 is Discover card calling about accts in collections. I am getting really irritated with this, my account is NOT in collections, is paid in full every month regardless of my balance, and to be getting a call saying I need to call back immediately about a 'personal matter in my name' at 8 am on a Sat is just wrong!! Shame on you Discover. I will be caneceling my acct with you because of this behavior.

It is Discover Card trying to collect on past due accounts. They sometimes have the wrong info from people who had previous #'s. This is NOT a scam, just let them know it is a wrong # if you do not know the person they are calling from. They are very nice and understanding and removed the number without any hassle.

A lady called my cell phone and left a message saying that she was calling regarding a very important personal matter and to call her back at 800-767-1846.  She didn't leave a company name.  The number that showed up on caller i.d. is 801-902-2091.  I looked googled this number and it appears that many people have been getting phone calls with no message or the same generic message as I did.  If the company talks to a person they say that they are with Discover Card and that the person is behind on a payment and want to take a payment over the phone.  Apparently, they want personal information and become defensive and unprofessional when questioned.  They tell the person not to make internet payments.  It seems that it may be some sort of fraud scam.  You can search the 801-767-1846 number to see lots of comments.  I definitely wouldn't give out any personal information.

i've been getting called by them at least 2x a day.  i never answer it.  anyone know who this is calling?

I work at Discover Card in Utah. This is our call back # when you are in collections.  If you paid your bill then you wouldn't have to worry about a collections agent like me calling you on any # we can get our hands on for you.  Thanks and have a great day.

Discover Card - they wanted me to reauthorize the auto deduct that is set up on the account.

called 2x in the same hour asking for someone who wasnt home and who doesn't even own a Discover Card. I told them to call back tomorrow and still they called again. If they call again today, they're ears will bleed from all the yelling and screaming

The phone number 1-800-767-1846 belongs to the "30-day" collection department at Discover Card. For people that are 30 days or less past due on their account.

Six Sense it is not a scam. I'm sure you are not the only one with your name in the entire country. Every credit card company uses skip tracing techniques and they call all people who live in the area where we last spoke to them in order to get in touch with them. Often enough we are speaking to the wrong person who happens to have the same name as the person we are looking for. I even so up with 20 people with the same name on the data base we use. IHowever, I would suggest verifying with them to make sure no has opened an account with your name. I worked there fro over 10 years and everyday I saw fraud by people using wrong names.

Actually it is a great job 60k a year full benefits, 20 paid days off, 401k match, oh yeah and they even put me through graduate school!!!!

I got a call from a 801-902-3152 in Utah with the same "urgent message" from Discover Financial Services and to call the 800# back.  They called ALL DAY but I refused to answer. After they left a message at my parents house, where I have not lived in 10 years!!, I called the 800 number on the back of my card.  My account was not delinquent, and they had no record of them calling me at all.

This is a scam.  "Mememe" is probably one of the a-hole scammers trying to steal your identity.  Do not give them any information! Call Discover back directly from the phone number on your card!!!

This is Discover Card trying to collect on your bill!  They leave a message as if it is a "business" call; they leave a name but no other identification.  Hope this helps.

I got the same message from someone calling for my wife at my work phone number regarding "a business matter"

18007671846..  I work at Discover Card In Utah.  Sorry to say but this is a real #.  I leave this # everyday.  It means you need to pay your bill cause you are now in collections.  Good luck..... I might be the one you speak with.  All in all if you paid your bill and set up auto payments you probably wouldn't have to deal with collectors like me calling you.  Have a Great Day.

Got a call from 801-902-2091 from someone not saying who they were, that I should call them back at 800-767-1846.  And that it was really important.   It's not important to me unless they disclose who the hell they are.

received a call about 9 am 800-767-1846, called back - was discover card - wanted last 4 digits of card, last 4 digits of SS#, and zip code - did not provided any, and I was connected to an operator

Discover card, I called the number back and it was Discover card services.

If I'm unsure of a number I use Skype to call the number back as your own number comes up to them with NO caller ID (Private number)

Got three calls today - one at home early am and two at work - a woman named Audrey.  Call at home asked if there was a work or cell phone number where she could reach me.

Recieved a call at my work number stating to call them back.  To name of reference or anything.  I won't be calling them.
