I also received a telephone call today on my cell phone from a Ms. Faller with Second Chance FInancial in regards to an old payday loan from April 2013 and that they were going to do a wage assignment.  I informed her that I didn't know what she was talking about but this woman had the last of my SS# and knew where I worked and my bank name.  I instructed her to send me something via mail and I would review it and get back with her.  Well of course she told me no "they don't mail out anything to you".  She was very rude when I wanted to question who, what and where this happen to take place, but refused to give me further information.  

This really disturbs me after reading all the posts in regards to this company, something needs to be done about these people.  

Not if the person they're contacting never took out a loan in the first place!!!

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.

Sengal, here is what I have found. ..

There are three listings, one says Finance, two come up as financial.  The last one I ran came up as out of business.  It is not usual for extortion scammers to use and abuse a real company's name, right down to listed employee's.  This appears to be a extortion scam operation from what I'm seeing and reading the other OP's above.  My guess it is the last one being used as it is listed with a alert on it:

Wanted to also say that I tried calling this number back 1-800-784-6129.. I get a recording that the number is no longer in service.. definitely a SCAM!!!!!!

I just received a voice mail from a Mrs.Faller who said she was with Second Chance Financial and that they had made numerous attempts to contact me about a wage assigment or garnishment. I am to call her back today with my case number she provided so that we can make payment arrangements.. if I don't call her back she told me get this.. "Good Luck".. I don't have a clue who these people are and in checking my credit report there is nothing out there I don't know about.. Can we say SCAM!!!!

I received a call at work by a  person by the name of William Benson from 1-800-784-6129.  Stating pretty much the same thing, about a payday loan and garnishing wages.  Talking about court, ect...I'm so tired of these people!  Really I wish we could make them as miserable as they make us!

Received a call from a David Stein saying that my driving privileges was revoke and gave four digits of someone licenses plate, I called the number back now the person answering the phone talking some Mr. Benson same voice as David Stein.  They need to find a drama class because they got the wrong one now.

Recieved a phone call on my cell and on my job from a david stein. He said they have a civil suit, and was going to suspend my license. He had my last 4 digits of social and license. I called back, the phone kept ringing. When I finally got through, a lady answered and said that the number is for different companies, and she doesn't know what I am talking about.

Just got a call man stated his name david stein civil judgement against me with the last 4 digits of my ss # if that is the correct numbers I had to call right away. left on a voice mail I remember getting calls awhile back sounds like the same man I will not call them back but something really needs to be done about this this people are disguisting

I just got a voicemail at work from a lady who I couldn't understand her name. She didn't say what bill this was even for. She said they sent an order for a wage assignment for 25% of my wages. Asked me to call 1-800-784-6129 for more information. I call it and no one answers. I hate these idiots who try to mess with your head. I have not ever had a payday loan and have not been taken to court for a bill. Such an annoyance at work!

Just got the exact same phone call but from a ms. Thompson. She rambled everything very fast so you couldnt understand it but it came from 800-784-6129 and said 25% wage garnishment etc... call back immediateley.

Update!!! I called the number and apparently I took out a payday loan online in 2011 to the tune of 400.00. Bull. Crap. I have never taken out a payday loan in my life. But these people have a lot of information about me!!! (I refused to confirm any of it, but it was all accurate.) What the hell?!?

I receieved a message at work from the receptionist to call this number back. She said the woman identifyed herself as a Mrs. Gaitha and she was very vague about the nature of the phone call and never stated the name of the company she was representing.

I had a voicemail when I got home from a Ms. Burns. She said to please call them about a wage assisgnment set up.
I can tell you all from experience, once these people get any infomation about you, they will call and it may not be the same people, but they are all bottom feeders. Scammers, don't waste your time calling anyone back that leaves messages like this.
You would know if it was something for REAL.
I just don't understand why nothing is being done legally about these people doing this.

FYI, what this company talks about is a wage assignment, which is a voluntary agreement signed by the individual that allows them to take a portion of your wages. A garnishment is through the courts, but this place is very specific that it isn't a garnishment, its an assignment. If they have a signed agreement to let them take a portion of your wages, they can do it without repercussions.

Never heard of them before.  She gives you an 800 number to call but then also gives you a totally different number.  800-784-6129 and 319-731-0136 which is out of Cedar Rapids Iowa and then says at the end her number is 420-771.  What the frock!

received a call from a "Ms. Gaither" says I had an unpaid loan of $300 from 3 years ago and was giving me an opportunity to 'take care of it over the phone' or they would garnish 25% of my work wages.
Nice try people! I know this is no was possible so I hung up but I feel bad for unsuspecting people that may believe this. I can't believe they get away with this stuff!

Received a call today from a Kimberly Smith indicating that there was a "Wage Assignment Order" for me and that 25% of my income would be taken out of my bank account. I was then transferred to a supervisor who called herself Sara Lee who tried to extort $275.00 from me with the threat of having my license suspended, wages garnished and employer notified. This company is a debt collector who claim to represent several pay day loan companies. They prey on unsuspecting people in an attempt to collect money. Their tactics are cruel, intimidating and outright illegal! These individuals need to be reported to the authorities.

As per FDCPA, they can't. Wage garnishments are decided by a judge, not a debt collector, though a debt collector can sue for one. She can not have your license suspended either. That decision is made by a judge and the Department of Transportation.

I received a message today from his number.  The lady said she was Mrs. Gaither and that she had a wage garnishment and was going to have my license suspended October 24, if I didn't call her back.  I don't know who she is, but she is wrong for doing this if she is a bill collector.  I was unaware that someone could call and threaten you this way.

Got a call from this number and stated Name her name was Ms. Gaither and that she had an order to start garnishing 25% of my wages starting on 10/18/13. Hmmmmm!!! I have never received a letter, phone calls or anything from this company and their so called name is International Recovery! First of all this is a debt collector and when I have no idea what you are even talking about, don't call and leave me threatening messages.

No answer to returned calls to find out who these losers are??????
