trying to garnish wages..calling to payroll dept..where do these people get our names and place of employment from..

They called my cell phone number and said that I have a student loan from 1993 in default.  I have never had a student loan ever.  My former company paid for my college education way before that.  Don't know how they got my cell number either.  They keep telling me they are from the Department of Education.  When you call the numbe back it is not that department.  These people have to be stopped.  They tell me they can garnish my wages.  Company is called Harvard and they say that the represent the Department of Education.  When I called to find this out they were very rude.

Same deal.  Have no idea who they are but are claiming I have a defaulted student loan from 1992???  They have never contacted me in person but have only called my place of employment and requested personal information such as current position, salary, etc.  Will not speak to me at all only want this information.  Got me a great attorney lined up for these jokers.

Veronica said she was calling from the department of education to collect on a default loan. I had to call her back (I always do to make sure it's legit) and a man answer the phone saying his name (which could not catch) and nothing else like this was his personal phone. When I ask for Veronica she answered saying the name of some kind of financial services.

Not sure who it is.
