By calling a known BofA number, this is validated as a valid BofA number for Priority Services.

"A woman who introduced herself as Mary from B of A left message in my voice mail on 9/02/08 saying there was problem with my latest BA Visa transaction and left the subject tel. no. for return call. I did not return the call and instead checked my Visa account online and did not see any problem. On 9/07/08, a man who introduced himself as Tom Slater with BA Visa Fraud and Authorization Dept left a meaasge saying my latest Visa transaction would not go through because the merchant provided an expired date for my Visa card and asked me to call the subject number. I don't really use my BA visa except for my Net provider and my Home Security bills and my transactions with them went through. Does BA Visa use the subject number?"

This is the number for Priorty Card Services. I called the Number on the bank of my credit card and verified that this was a call from Bank of America.
