Got a call from 1-800-889-4252 saying they was from Facebook advertisement team  but left no message. i made sure i let Facebook know let them f****ards call me again and they better pray God steps on my throat because the moment they call me and they speak i won't let them get a word in and what i got to say will be not be holy. stop calling my phone back to back. i don't do harassment nor spam well.

I received this call again with a male with a deep voice. Could hardly understand what he was saying.

I ignored the call, I never answer 800 numbers at 8:30 in the morning... they did leave a message and said it Mike or Mark from Facebook advertising.  Saved the number to my contacts with the rest of the "Do Not Answer" numbers that go straight to VM.

Getting the Facebook call. They left a VM with a dialog like the poster above. They said they noticed I downloaded some of their "Page Management Best Practices" (I didn't). They looked up my phone number from my company website, I don't have it listed on Facebook. Nothing they say seems legit at all, not sure who falls for this stuff?

A person that called from this number (800-826-9988) left that number (800-889-4252) in this message saying they were with FACEBOOK, so obviously these people are liars, and neither Google nor Facebook.

Also received a call from this number with them saying they were with Facebook for advertising. Nice to know that you all agree it's a scam. Crazy to see that they were previously saying they were with Google Ads. I tore them a new a$$hole - you're welcome America. I'm going to contact Facebook and let them know as well - hope no one falls for their BULL$HIT.

Glad I am not the only one who has got this call.  They said that they were from Facebook, and to call them back.  They left a message on the answer phone, but have never called back.

I got two voicemails from this number. She said it was "Nancy from Facebook". She told me she was reaching out for an "advertising opportunity". She told me to return her call at  1(800) 889-4252 extension 24363.

Classic scam.  They claim they are from GOOGLE.  In my case, they wanted to update my listing on google maps, becuase I may a request.  Here's the kicker, they want to take over YOUR computer (get you google username and password) so that they can promote something else.  They even offered to make an appointment to call back at another time.  *How nice of crimanals"

FYI: The reason your get a call with no one on the other end is because thier autodailing computers call 100's a head of time so that the real person doesn't have to waste time dialing a number, letting it ring.  They are hoping that when there is a live person on the other end thier is also a free operator to match theh call.

When you here no one on the other end, it's because they didn't have a free operator, and your name goes back into the calling pool for next time.

Received a sales call at 7am this morning from a gal who said she was from Google. I pointed out that it was 7am and too early for sales calls and she argued with me.

Google will get none of my business as their business practices leave a lot to be desired.

It for sure is not Google. They don't operate that way. This group is a scam and I just proved it. I called their bluff and they told me to go______myself. That tells me this is a ban of internet thieves trying to steel your money. Don't give them anything. They will steel you blind. You can count on that. Be real careful when you answer a call from these idiots.

Just received a call from these folks. They said that I had talked to them before. So I guess I gave them an excuse before as to why I could not talk to them and they followed up. Said he was with Google Places and wanted me to log into my account and go over some "changes" with him. I asked if he worked for Google, and he said he did. He asked if he can call back later and he is calling back in an hour. Glad I came to this page and saw that it is only a sales pitch. I don't have time or patience.

Yes, keep getting similar calls.  I have told them several times to take my name off the list.  Last week, a young woman said I would be removed from Google places unless I talked to her and continued to pay my bill.  When I said I had never paid them a bill she argued with me and said I did.  Since I am a one person company, I think I know to whom I pay bills.  I then remarked that this was just a scam, she got very huffy and said she would have her manager call me -- as if he was going to chastise ME.  REALLY?  I've also gotten two calls saying "this is the last time I'm going to call you and unless you contact me back, you will lose your placement in Google Places?"  Well, so far, I'm still there.  Total scam!

NOT GOOGLE. Just another web company selling advertising, but they are trying to get your attention by using *Google* Ad-Words and what not. They are not affiliated with Google. I would never give money to a company that cold calls me or anyone else. Block their calls and report to the FCC.

Got a call from this number and the guy sounded like he was chewing bubble gum while trying to get me to buy Adwords express. Said he was from Google, but I know he was lying. I have several businesses listed under my account for clients and he only saw the one for my business. A real Google rep would have seen all of them.

It is Google calling to try and sell you additional services. They usually call under the guise that they have "made changes" to your advertising account that you must approve. Don't fall for it! They want you to go log in to your account while they have you on the phone and proceed to give you a 45 minute sales pitch that only ends when you get tired of the BS and hang up on  them.

Besides that, it is not really Google. It is a call center full of telemarketers. Jackalopes!

google adwords sales man. was very pushy and rude. i actually had to tell him to stop being rude, to which we got extremely hostile and i hung up.

These aren't from GOOGLE. If they were the # would show on a GOOGLE page in the search results . They are fishing for CC# names e-mails anything from you. Don't be fooled by postings above by JOAN D. who obviously is one of the scam centre cretins. Don't tell them anything. If you have something going with GOOGLE, go to their CORPORATE WEBSITE and contact them through the proper manner.

I don't know for sure if it is a real Goolge employee or a scam. Alot of times they just hung up when I answered the phone and it is really annoying. Today I answered the phone, a lady told me that she is from a Goolge employee. She advised me to pay for optimizing my website's Google map. If this is a real Goolge employee, Google is irritating the hell out of the busineses by soliciting phone call.

It was a call I was waiting for but was not ID'd on my phone. Google was calling about the Web management class I was interested in attending.

Said she was from Google and my company had an ad with them.  She needed to speak with who ever set it up.  I asked her if she knew who that was.  She did not.  She said she had an email for our company and I asked what it was and it was incorrect.
