total scam. they sent the light bulbs with a $360 invoice but never got the gift card. called them to see when I might get it and was told to call back in a week. I did and told them I was sending the bulbs back and don't call again. BEWARE THIS COMPANY IS VERY SHADY!!

Thank you for the heads up.  I just got a voicemail from these people also wanting to give me a $100 gift card.  I tried to return their call but no response.  I will not be attempting to contact them back.  Thank you again for everyone's posts.

They called us and we are familiar with these tactics so I ran a series of questions and told them we wouldn't buy anything and reiterated that everything was free and that were not saying yes to any kind of contract, etc. Jessica then transferred me to the confirmation line and they hung up. About two mintues passed and she called me back to say that she revoked her offer because; her words "you are a bi***", and hung up. I then called the 800-854-8951 to complain and the girl that answered said "did you do something?" I asked for a manager and she hung up.

Yeah, received a call from "industrial Lighting" 1800 854-8951, they made it sound very "business as usual" saying our reorder is due and they will ship it out in 7-10 days.  Being new to a large facility, i had to complete the call and confirm that this is BS (there are many things on autopilot when it comes to ordering around here, Florescent lightbulbs are NOT one of them).  This is about as immoral of a sales practice as there can be.

I got scammed. They offered a free $100 Walmart gift card to celebrate their 30th anniversary, and jumbled in the offer was an 'authorization' to send $771 worth of lights. Received the lights, no gift card, and eventually an invoice for $771. Called the listed 800-854-8951 four times before a call back. Spoke with Ariana who transferred me to Fran. Fran plays a recording of the 'authorization'. I protest because it was unclear and at no point did I know a quantity, cost, or type of lighting equipement; I thought the recording was for the Walmart gift card. She 'understood' my dilemma, and offered to send out more light bulbs at a better price. After clearly stating my desire to return the items, she stated the person made the mistake is no longer with the company. I asked to be transferred back to Ariana, the 'customer service rep'. Ariana stated there would be a 25% restocking fee. In disbelief, I explained that under no circumstances would I pay a restocking fee, and that she/the company had two choices: 1) receive no money but get the bulbs back via prepaid shipping label, 2) receive no money and do not get the bulbs back. Ariana said the prepaid shipping label would be at my address in 2-3 days. I'll try to post again if th promised shipping label appears.

On 3/29/12 @ 2:50 pm, I received a phone call from Robyn, of Commercial Distributions (#1-800-854-8951). She called to speak to someone in purchasing and wanted to verify our agency address. After doing so, she stated that we would be receiving promotional $100 Walmart Gift Cards from Corporate, for our marketing team. When asked who in particular from Corporate authorized the cards, ?she just stated , Corporate. She also mentioned that she appreciate us purchasing the T-12 Florescent Light bulbs for the renovation of our building. I stated to her that, ?we do not order light bulbs for our agency. She then stated that, ? at some time, we may have, but just not recently. Well after speaking and asking questions for a while, she recommended I call this number #1-800-381-8405, once we hung up, to further verify information. Which, ?I DID NOT DO, but notified another staff member, instead. Please be aware of this scam, because she was very professional and vocal. I would hate for anyone to assume that they are contracted with our company. Thanks!

10/23/11 call today with the same scam...

Thank you all for posting - they almost got me too. Never heard of them - asked them for our last PO number - funny - they didn't have it handy. This is surely criminal. Thanks to people like this I truly trust no one. They said they were Industrial Supply and Industrial & Commercial Products. Talked to Jeri? and Amber. Called them back and said SEND NOTHING. I'm sure that will work - not.

I've been seeing their number on my caller ID for weeks and thought it odd that they would never leave a message. Yesterday they finaly did, the gal "Dawn" sounded like she was being forced to call us somehow and wanted to send us light bulbs, ballasts and yep, you guessed it, a "free" gift card for a couple hundred dollars in shipping charges. She also claimed we were regular customers, don't they know that companies have computers and can look up past vendors for years back?

Received a call from them yesterday on my voice mail. She said her name was Dawn and they were trying to update their records and wanted to know if I was the person she needed to contact about ordering bulbs or [insert another name here]. I did not recognize the second name which raised a red flag. So I went out to do a Google search on the phone number she left and found this site. After reading the above I remembered another time when I had someone call me to say they were sending me a WalMart gift card with my order of bulbs. The price of the bulbs was very attractive but then I found out later the S&H was more than the bulbs. I promptly canceled the order. Be very careful if you do any dealings with this company. BUYER BEWARE!!!

THANK YOU for posting.  We just got the call today from "Commercial Distributing".  They wanted to thank us for our business in ordering T2 overhead lightbulbs from them by giving us a $100 Walmart gift card.  In case anybody's wondering, I guess they are alive and well.

Had a lady call from this number saying she was from "Commercial Distributing" and they were celebrating their 30 year anniversary and was sending me a $100 dollar walmart gift card. She also then stated she would be sending me some light bulbs we ordered from them in the past, i have never ordered from them. i hung up on her. Called 760-253-2059 and a man answered the call and i asked him to take me off the list and to not send me anything. The guy said he would take care of it. Im sure ill get a package next week. err!

Same Thing they had my book keepers name somehow, the lady was rude and inturrupted me which doesnt get you anywhere with me LOL, i told her my bk was in a meeting and she quickly hung up.
I cant wait till she calls back - i have fun with these people LOL

samething on my end said it hadn't been awhile that we ordered and that it should be time to order I asked for a phone # and they didn't have one that caught my guard, no # to call back for when we can call and order when we need to huh that is fishy than she rambled a number off not thinking I would catch it  hahaha I never have used this company little do they know I am the account [ayable person for the company that they called we never have ever used them

Lighting Products in Bartow, California. Talked to a Shawna and a Carrie in their shipping department when they called. Said they were celebrating their "30 year anniversary" and would be sending us a complimentary $100 gift card to Walmart for being a past customer. Told me to look out for the bulbs we ordered. I checked with our IT guy and we do not order from them and never have. If you get scammed by this, call the number back to have you removed from the list and REFUSE any packages from them!

Thanks just had these guys call me at my business to try to do the same thing to me. I was aware that i didnt do business with their company and didn't fall to their shady business.

Received a call from "Lighting Products" promotional call stating we won a $100 gift card from walmart. ---but of course they are sending us $160 in light bulbs. Sounds REAL fishy...
