This is indeed some collection agency.  I called the call back number given in the message they left for someone who doesn't live here.  Actually the guy I spoke with was very polite, said that often times people give numbers that aren't theirs and said he would remove my phone number from the file.  Hopefully he did... I guess we'll see.

We have been receiving calls from this number for a year now, they keep saying they are removing our number from their list, but they keep calling.

It is some kind of collection agency.

I had two issues with these people. They called me for someone else and they removed me from their calling list. I had a small medical bill which I settled at 50%.

My 13 year old son received a call from this number on his new cell phone.  I called the number back, and they said that they would remove the number from their list.  From a Google search, I found:

It is officially a scam.

I just got off the phone with the bank they said they were collecting for/with and the bank said that I was in excellent standing with them, and even if there was a problem from years back there would be a record of it.

I strongly recommend not giving 800 881 8800 any of your personal information.

I am now on their call-list. They don't identify who they are and then when you do call their number they do not identify their company until you beat the information out of them. Then act like there are severe consequences on the line for $45 owed years ago, when the bank they allegedly are collecting for has not mentioned the infraction.

I suspect it's B.S.

This number is calling me at work, and they won't stop.  But thank god I won't be working there no more.  So they can keep calling but I won't be there.

Get calls  they leave message but never specify who it is for or what it for. They say it's a business call. WRONG

This place has called me a hundred times.  So I finally called the number and asked who they were.  They guy finally gave up the info, but he was a complete jerk.  I told him to stop calling me, and if they need to contact me they can do so by mail.  He told me they will NOT mail me anything and they WILL keep calling.  He actually yelled at me!  Yeah, like I'm going to answer your calls now!  Nice business practices.  They take over old debt and try and collect on it.  These companies usually buy the debt at a fraction of the amount, then turn around and try to collect from you.  He has called me twice sinece that call earlier today.

SO annoying, calls came from this number repeatedly for weeks asking for the previous owner by name to return the call.  I kept hanging up until I finally did call, they just weren't going away. Obviously they were going by the address to try and reach this person.  Supposedly my phone number has been deleted, time will tell.
