Brinks Home Security.  They call and I answer and all I hear is dead air.  How do I get these clowns to stop?  Call the Better Business Bureau?

Yes, Broadview security a division of Brinks.  Tipped off by home inspection company Land America (they admitted this).  Trying to sell you an alarm system.  I answered and told them to call back 3 weeks later, which they did.  They won't stop until you answer and tell them you either already have an alarm system or don't want one.  Telling them you already have one is a better way to go if you don't want to get a spiel.

This is definitely Brinks since I mistakenly gave them my phone # last week before I found out that they will not come out and re-set my master alarm code without me signing up for their monitoring system.  The thing is it just dead air for 5 seconds so I can't even tell them to stop calling.

I've been getting calls from 800-884-8682 for the past 5 weeks, 2 to 3 calls a day, no message.  I finally got pissed off and bought an air horn and when they call my cell at home I give it a good blast.  I did find out that the home inspection company (Mossman Inspection llc) gave my number out.  I did not give him permission to do so.

This is a spam solicitation call for Broadview/Brinks Home Security. These are robo-calls that, apparently, do nothing but annoy the hell outta me! I don't even get solicited! Call 800-379-9194. Go through the prompts as if you are wanting to secure your 1,475 Acre Southern Plantation complete with the Southern Colonial Mansion and outbuildings. When you get a human on the line, immediately ask for a supervisor. When they come on, CALMLY explain the reason you are calling. They will ask a few ?'s, and should remove you from whatever hellcall list we got on.

They've called me around 10 times so I just blocked the number. Good to know its Brinks so I won't ever use them. I'm also contacting my inspector to see if he gave my number out. If so, I will definitely never use him again or recommend him.

My husband and I recently purchased a home and our inspector must have passed our information along.  I would have considered using them until they started calling two to three times a day.  Then the one voicemail they left on MY voicemail which clearly states my name, he left it specifically for my husband (completely different name and number), almost like he was talking around me.  That small disrespect on top of the non-stop calls made me say NO THANKS!!

this response is to CK.. Thanks so much for putting a kind word about this offer.. i work for this program with Brinks/Broadview.. The inspection program is a very legitimate offer with our company and the best offer that you will have .. The reason for the calls is we have become automated and it will dial a number and if it does not get a "live person" on the other end of the line it will continue to dial periodically.. If a person picks up the line and says hello we hear a beep .. when we say hello it is a few seconds after the person comes on the line.. We would really like to talk to you but give a second before you hang up and realize that this is not being done to interrupt or aggrivate you .. Believe me we don't enjoy being chewed up and spit out.. we are not telemarketers ,  we are people with families and grandkids not young kids still in highschool.. We are professionals and due to demand for effficiency we have taken Brinks into the 21st century.. this happened about 6 months ago.. I am proud to work for a company that stands for integrity, honesty, and is in the business to save lives and protect homes and 1.3 million customers feel the same way.. nothing has changed about the way we take care of our customers only the way the phone has to dial.. so if you happen to get a call from this number remember on the other end of the line is a mother, father, grandmother, grandfather someone who had a death the day before, please keep that in mind before you curse, scream on the other end of the line.. .

I think my home inspector gave my number to these people as well. I have yet to answer them at all. The first VM I considered giving them a call and inquiring but was too busy moving at that time. After 4 calls in 2 days I quickly decided I wouldn't give them a thought anymore due to their annoyances and blocked their number. So brinks if you read this your calling over and over isn't a good thing!  Leave a VM and if we are interested we will CALL YOU BACK.

On a side note I checked call records on my number (I work for phone company)...and they have called at least once a day for a month after I blocked them. Bear in mind that every time they call now the recording tells them I am not accepting their calls. They just don't give up!

I have been getting the same hang-up phone calls.  After looking at your post, I now have pieced this together.  I too recently had a home inspection by "reliable......"  They had in their package deal an offer from Brinks.  After I had explained that my husband has been in the fire/security alarm business for over 20 years he then stated...."well answer the phone anyway and talk the them.  I get a $20 finders fee if you talk the them."  Like my $775 wasn't enough money for him that day.  Now have have these guys bugging me, on my cell phone no less.  Nice.

Just bought a house and the same thing happened. Must have gotten my info from inspection people. Either way they call everyday around 11-12 and then again in the evening around 6-7. I hope BRINKS knows that because of this I will never even consider doing business with them. A simple voicmail would be fine...or maybe realizing that after 2x a day for the last month we don't plan on answering.

Calls twice a day, everyday. I told them I don't want their service. They are more intrusive than the people they are supposed to protect me against.

So far, I've missed three calls from this number.  Today, I called it back and got Brinks after sitting on hold about 5 mins.  Once I got to a 'Customer Care Rep.' the guy looked up my number in his system and told me he wasn't sure who had called me.  He then sent me over to the Sales department.  The woman I spoke with was very professional and courteous.  She explained to me that Brinks was partnered with the home inspection company I recently had out to my home.  Brinks obtained my information from that home inspection company and they were trying to reach me to find out if I was interested in their services.  I told her "not at this time".  She then said she would note that on my phone number and I would no longer be getting calls.  Easy enough.  Problem solved.
