Call verizon and tell them, file a complaint! Also file a complaint with the DNC - its a scam call!

I keep getting these calls and they are starting to get me mad how can I stop it. They never leave a message so I do not now who they are. I am on the Do Not Call List

I have recieved at least 2 Voice messages directing me to this site to recieve 460.00.
Who is doing this?

Called Verizon and it is a SCAM.  They setup a block for 90 days.

THANK YOU for this info! The scam website looks *exactly* like Verizon's website (which I'm sure isn't difficult to do) but the info you've provided is a clear indication that it's fraudulent.

The scammers, thieves and extortionist are not going to obey any laws.. Make sense?  Its only going to keep the honest ones honest as they will use it!  

Still, you need to report these calls, this info is made available for the law agency's and if they see a pattern, they can do what ever needs done! Foreign country's are sometimes involved though and unless they co-operate with the US, then it may or may not happen!

Called my husband's cell phone 3x this morning while I was on a business conference call on our landline. Obnoxious. All our #s are on the Do Not Call List, which appears to be a useless "pacifier" --certainly not something that's functional.

800-888-9597....This number has called my partners phone twice in 10 minutes and left no message.  During the same time, I had a partial voicemail stating "....in the amount of $70, at Verizon Wireless we value our customers".  This is NOT Verizon Wireless and do not go to any website provided as this is a scam or phishing attempt. From the threads I'm reading, the amounts change each time and the websites you are told to go to change as well.  We will be contacting Verizon Wireless again (before it was a number ending in 9595) and were assured that the problem was taken care of by their securities department. If it continues, it's on to track phones :/ because this is getting old!

Recorded message.  Same as the other person who posted.  Claims to be verizon and they care blah blah blah.  Log onto vzw470.com and get a $470 credit.  Did not log in because I'm not with verizon.  Did try different links, seems to be real website when you click links.  Also does seem to direct you to actual verizon site.  So verizon might be culprit behind this.  Just don't log on with real info.

Left a half cut off message saying "... vzw470.com simply log into your account to redeem your $470. At Verizon we care about you, thank you and have a nice day."

I fully agree with your post. I did some research myself and reported them on DoNotCall.gov, since I'm registered. I'm also trying out Calls Blacklist (app) to see if it works better for me than Mr. Number, which was virtually useless for me. Seems like no one registers to the list!

I keep getting calls every single day in the mornings (twice, within half hour of each other) and evenings.  It claims to be from Verizon, but I highly doubt it.  How do you make them stop?  Who can put these jerks out of business?  JTFC!!!

I just add these numbers to Blacklist option on my phone.

I also, received two calls, on my cell phone, within 20 min. of each other.  NO message left.  Just annoying!

Received a call on my cell phone from this number-888-9597....twice within 15 minutes.   Did not leave a message and when I tried to call back it was busy.

800-888-9597 has called several times directing me to a website to claim money at Verizon. I would like to know how they picked me. Is it random or did I do something to prompt this nonsense?

I got two calls from this number today and two last week. I didn't respond and they didn't leave a voicemail.

I also received a call on cell, used verizon callblock feature and presto no more calls.

I'm on the Do Not Call List, going to report this number. Everyone on that list should do the same thing if they want these SCAMMERS to stop. btw I don't answer calls I don't  recognize. I Google them to see who they are lol

I just got 2 calls from this number within about 20 minutes.  I never answer calls that start with 800 or any other toll free area code.  They did not leave a message.  Every time I get one of these calls, I google the number and nice folks like all of y'all will assure me it is a bogus scam.  Isn't the internet wonderful.    Verizon is my cell phone service.
