claims to be verizon even has an outgoing verizon message when you call, but it ain't. Verizon is investigating them now. They try to get your information even asked for social security number, don't fall for it! They are scammers!!

Called a left a voicemail with the web address Vzw374.com and told me to go there and log in to get $374 off my Verizon account. Have never had an account with Verizon. When you even try to go to that website from Chrome, Chrome automatically blocks it as a reported phishing website.

Got a call on my cell from this number, and it was an automated message from Verizon saying that my bill this month was $ 367.00 and will be deducted from my bank account as usual.
Except that I don't have any bills directly drawn from my bank account, and that amount is twice what I pay every month. I went online and checked and there was not such an amount.
I tried to call back, and the number is not in service.
I kind of panicked wondering if they were waiting for me to go to my Verizon account, so I changed the password.
Don't people have something better to do with their time?

Called me today. They want to give me $367 off on my Verizon bill. Also called me Wednesday with same offer but used a different phone number: (800)888-9602

I'm the owner of the number 800-888-9607 (our toll free number at The Advisor Benefits Group in Kennewick, WA). The calls you are receiving are not originating from our location or from the number that is showing up on your caller ID. The scammers are masking their number with mine! I regret the inconvenience that has been caused to so many people. It has cause me much grief, too, as you can probably imagine. Please continue to report this to the authorities and hopfully the culprits will be caught and punished.
Thank you,
Marv

I've been getting 4-5 calls a day from this number, it's a different each time and they always ask for September, I tell them they have the wrong number and stop calling me then they hang up. I call back and a recording says my number has been selected and then ends. A few hours later I get the same call. This just started a few days ago. Getting aggravated... aarrrrgggg !
joey 2013-10-11 23:31:35 Unknown
same here. its a recording from "verizon wireless" trying to give a $364 credit to my account. they then give a fake web address most likely to be able to collect your log-on info. SCAM!!!

I got a call from this number today, Verizon wireless asking me to go to www.vzw364.com to log in to my account. They "care" about their customers. Thing is, I don't have an account with Verizon - they called me on my Cricket phone
Travis 2013-10-11 22:39:07 Unknown
Some scam claiming to be Verizon. They keep on leaving me voice mails that only say "Thank You." I also get texts from the same people with the same topic, so yeah, scam.
Scooter 2013-10-11 22:17:35 Unknown
Called my cell phone,,,, no msg,, I called # and got this----- number is no longer in use! This is strange!
Matt 2013-10-11 22:09:50 Unknown
I got the same call to a work cell phone and tracked down that the number belongs to Advisor Benefits so I contacted them. Their systems were hacked and they are working on fixing it right now. Serve an email to service@advisorbenefits.com letting them know you got the call and any other info you can about it.
Most of the time with these types of calls the number calling you is not the actual caller. Spammers/scammers/phishers hack systems and use the victim's number so it is harder to track them down.

Got two calls within 30 minutes of eachother. I just blocked the number because it was a scam.

Keep getting these calls from "Verizon". All of this started with the Do Not Call government website shutting down:
National Do Not Call Registry
Due to the Government shutdown, we are unable to offer this website service at this time. We will resume normal operations when the government is funded.
Must be a free for all with telemarketers!
Thanks Republicans!

I just received the same call , did a number search and found the rest of you .. I just don't understand what they get out of calling and playing a rambling message .
Are there still gullible idiots out there thinking they will get free money ? Just give them all your info and it will be deposited in your bank account ... 100% secure !!
What ever , I just wish they would stop calling me

Amy 2013-10-11 18:05:28 Unknown
This number called me twice today and won't let me call back. Government? Verizon? Grandma??? :)
Zoey 2013-10-11 17:55:09 Unknown
Not Verizon. Advisor Benefits LLC. Marketing company. Just FYI.
Zoey 2013-10-11 17:51:34 Unknown
Received 2 calls from 800-888-9607. The first time I missed the call and the second time I caught it. It was an automated message instructing to go to VZW.com/364 - to redeem a prize of $364. I am with Verizon so I checked it out, there was not a website page like the VZW.com/rebate. It was full of script and that worries me it may be linked to phishing or a virus and has now been dismantled.. I searched the number and it is listed under Advisor Benefits LLC, a marketing company. I will probably call Verizon later as they should be aware of this by now. I will place an update on this page if Verizon provides me with any information regarding the call.
