they called me from this number and also 208-608-5510.  said they were from Verizon and wanted my password.  told them they weren't Verizon because they would never ask me for my password. seem to be out of boise.  Verizon said it wasn't them who made the call, but didn't seem to want to get involved.

Showed up as a missed call on cell phone.  Not wanting to divulge cell no, called back on landline - busy signals in afternoon, and that night - number has been disconnected!

DO NOT under any circumstances go to that website! (VZW.com is a scam)
I finally got through to Verizon and they admitted that they have been targeted by an international sect that is phishing their customers (although they won't come clean on how these guys got a customer list).The purpose is your information will allow international calls using your phone number once they get your account information.

On your phone text the scam number to 7762 to report the scam number and then be sure you block it yourself on your phone(s). In my case I have 5 phones (family) and every one of them got calls today so I know  that somehow a customer list was obtained.

I would also say to change your VZW password (don't use last 4 of SSN...per the fraud dept it can be anything  4-5 digits long).

I received multiple phone calls starting yesterday and today from (800) 888-9612 and (800) 888-9611.  Bogus call saying Verizon has a refund for me and that I need to log into a website that is not Verizon's.  Big scam.  I am not even a Verizon customer and haven't been one in almost a decade.

I received this call at 9:21 P.M. last night. woke me from a sound sleep. I never ans. a number I don't know. they did not leave a message. thanks for all the postings. I will not ans.

Got this message saying money won waiting for me But when I called back I got " the number you called is Not In Service"

couldn't call back this number to complain I got and heard message '" this number not in service' "

I got this call and they left a message something about Verizon and $384. I don't even have Verizon!

I got the same call acting like they were verizon saying I had to go online to get 384 dollars off my account.  I got it three times today and listened carefully the third time and the website is vzw384.com or something like that. Which is obsiously not Verizon's website but a scam.  Not brave enough to actually go to website.  I blocked the call.

Recorded voice saying log onto "... www.vzw53.com with your verizon wireless information to redeem your $53.00 credit".

Just called every phone on my network twice - Same 20 minutes apart!  I have an AT&T business account. No clue whats up!

Automated message claiming I am entitled to a $53 credit on my Verizon bill and that I need to log onto a suspicious website address. Not a terribly convincing phishing message. Called me twice in about 20 minutes.

Just received one of these calls telling me to log in to receive my $53.  I did not answer, and the voicemail did not kick in until halfway through the message, so I was suspicious.  Thought I'd Google the number to find out about it, and look at what I found!!!  Hmm...so annoying!!!

Two calls, 20 minutes apart tonight. No message. If they say it's Verizon, definitely a lie since I have no balance on my account whatsoever, so it's surely a scam.

They have called me 4 times today already, never left a message or anything. I usually don't answer calls unless I know who it is, if it's important they will leave a message......and not harass me multiple times with phone calls.

I received the same call 3 times today, called back and it just led to a static filled line.

Thankful for iOS7's ability to block numbers, won't have to deal with them trying to call again.

Received message today stating it was Verizon and I was getting a refund of $384. Nothing more than a scam.

Phone caller said I'm getting $490.00 back from verizon , it electronic recording it's hard to understand , it keeps telling you go to www.]]{#^**><~£ect?com to get the refund ... Junk call

They called me with the same info for the same price. weird

I received two calls from this number about 10 minutes apart. I didn't answer and they left no message. I have an old Verizon number, but Verizon is no longer my carrier. The first call was about 10 minutes after I downloaded some free Android software from the Google Play Store: Bubble Mania, Adobe Reader, Photoshop Express, and SWF Player. I hope that was just a coincidence.

They called twice today exactly 20 minutes apart. Did not answer. They don't leave messages and when I try to call them back, the line is busy.

Got this message that Verizon was going to deduct $394.00 and I was to log on to a web site.  

I got the same message I could barely understand. I think they might have hacked my , Gmail acc. I can no linger use it.plus...  To get it straightened out and every single time I lose connection with them. I have never had a problem with connection on full bars at home.

I was called once on 10/13/2013 from 800-888-9610 and twice back to back calls on 10/14/2013 from 800-888-9611.  One voice mail was left for me to log into me account at www.vzw384.com/ to get me $384 and that Verizon cares about me.  I knew it was a scam, just doing me part to update this site.

I hope they ring again when I have a chance to answer, I'm going to have a go at them with naughty talk ;)

I recieved the call twice today as well. Said they were from Verizon on the second call on my voice mail. Stating I had $384 dollars posted to my account. I went on Verizon and checked my account no such info. I believe this is a scam
