I have gotten several faxes from this number.  They want to sell me health insurance.  They claim at the bottom of the fax that it is not a solicitation, but that is exactly what it is.  I have called the number listed at the bottom to be removed from their database, but it does not work.  I am tired of them wasting my printer ink, which is very expensive.  There is no name for their company anywhere on the page, just an 800 number.  I can't afford to turn off my fax machine because I am running a business.  But I also can't afford to keep getting this junk.

the toll-free number belongs to Protus IP.  A marketing firm.  Go to Hoovers.com and I found their company profile with their FAX number. (see below)

Send your faxes to them and write "Remove me from your distribution list."

Isn't it odd that MyFax is a subsidiary of Protus IP and is an advertiser on this web page?  Did anyone get results by faxing to Protus?

Fax Machine
Unsolicited fax advertisement that I have formally reported to FCC. I recommend that more of us do that.
I keep a form on my desk and fax it off to the FCC everytime I get an unsolicited fax.  It takes a few minutes but I feel it may be worth it especially if the FCC got these in mass from all of us who suffer with this waste of paper and time.

The FCC can issue warning citations and impose fines against companies violating or suspected of violating the junk fax rules, but does not award individual damages. If you have received a fax advertisement from someone who does not have an EBR with you or to whom you have not provided prior express permission to send fax advertisements, you can file a complaint with the FCC. You can file your complaint by completing the FCC?s on-line complaint Form 1088 at: www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints.html; e-mailing fccinfo@fcc.gov; calling 1-888-CALL-FCC (1-888-225-5322) voice or 1-888-TELL-FCC (1-888-835-5322) TTY; faxing 1-866-418-0232; or writing to:
