Jenn 2011-06-06 20:58:38 Unknown
Called me too. Anyone know who it is?
Stumpy 2011-06-06 20:58:38 Unknown
Calls 2x a day, don't answer, does not leave a message.
Jenn 2011-06-06 20:58:38 Unknown
Googled this number and found out it appears to be from UMUC, some online university. I just ignore it since they never leave a message.
James 2011-06-06 20:58:38 Unknown
These people, whoever they are, are persist and very annoying calling 2 and 3 times a day. I figure if it was important they'd leave a message and until then they will continue to get the f u button.
ashley 2011-06-06 20:58:38 Unknown
This is the University of Maryland. I asked for more info on a degree there, and they started calling me 2x a day, nearly every day (they were all very nice, however). I finally had to ask them to call me only after a few months, which they did.

This number is for University of Maryland University College... They are an outstanding online school, they basically pioneered the online learning platform. They are a non for Profit state school that gives out money to their students to attend school.. Answer the phone and give them a chance, it will be the best decision you ever made!!

800-896-1038 is THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND.
IF YOU CALL THAT NUMBER THEY WILL WORK OUT THE KINKS.
NOT UMUC 2011-06-06 20:58:38 Unknown
These people are a third party company that generate leads for University of Maryland University College. They ARE NOT UMUC but application getters. all they want is 50 dollars for the application and pass you off to UMUC. they make money based on how many paid applications they get. STAY AWAY CALL UMUC DIRECTLY AND GET ENROLLED THROUGH THEM.

This number has called my phone several times and when I answer no one is ever there! I'm on the DO Not Call List, how does that happen?!
telemarketers-r-scum 2009-10-02 17:47:24 Unknown
Let's see, you say you graduated from this fine school and you can't even spell "whiners"??? LOL That says it all.
By the way, I would pick up the phone, I keep a loud whistle nearby for scumbags like you, hope it's "Graduate" (LMFAO at that name) that calls me next.
You're "pround" of yourself too huh? Damn you are one funny scammer!
Graduate 2009-10-02 17:47:09 Unknown
Its clearly who the moron is here, non educate fools.
Graduate 2009-10-02 17:39:53 Unknown
Yes, don't pick up the phone if you want to be a dumbass for the rest of your life like this guy, you people have cojo,s. you ask for the info then acted like they are the bad people. I'm a graduate fo the school and pround of UMUC. They don't deserve whinners like all of you,

my daughter has been hounded by them for a couple of weeks now, both at home and on her cell. They never leave a message. I actually answered the phone today and happened to get a name, supposedly Joe Adams. he said that he had quite detailed information on my daughter and that she obviously filled out a form requesting information about a college degree. Considering that my daughter isn't going to college, I know it's all bologne!
MeganMazy 2009-08-20 22:34:57 Unknown
I was woke up by my phone ringing at 9:18PM. Is it not against the law for them to call after 9:00??? My caller ID recorded their number at this time. The only way that they could have gotten my phone number is through a scholarship that I had applied for.

Dust Windsoar 2009-08-14 00:09:26 Unknown
They answered the phone as CCA, but then claim to be UMUC and call as laate as 7pm. EVERYDAY and don't leave a message. UMUC claims this is not one of their tele #'s. What the F-----

I called the number back, and immediately someone called me and did not identify themselves.
If it is the University of Maryland, the employees there need a course on business and professional communications. State your name, who you represent, and the nature of your call! Leave a message stating your information. I don't know anyone that is happy to receive anonymous 800 number calls. A reputable institution would leave a detailed message.
annoyed 2009-08-13 22:05:29 Unknown
I doubt the University of Maryland is open at 9pm calling prospective students...and then not leaving messages? Any professional would leave a message!
Gwynne 2009-08-06 17:29:35 Unknown
They have been calling every day (sometimes more than once) since I requested information about the college online. I have not picked up and they never leave a message. Googled the number and came to this site. Now it all makes sense. Wish I had not provided my phone # when I requested the info.

telemarketers-r-scum 2009-07-18 21:36:10 Unknown
No Greg's right, go ahead and pick it up ... and have that really loud whistle or airhorn handy when you do ... it's the only thing these dense morons can understand, the louder the clearer!
BM 2009-07-18 21:31:53 Unknown
Greg...we requested information concerning online classes be sent to us...we really have no desire to talk to anyone until WE make a decision...so may I suggest...don´t call us we`ll call you?
MeganMazy 2009-07-13 22:02:20 Unknown
"Marcus" You are supposed to be a representative of the college!! Using offending language and insulting people. What kind of example are you for an institution of higher learning? There are laws to protect consumers and just because an individual looks into continuing education, does not give said representatives the right to harass and bully others.
Yes, you can and should be stopped.
Steve From Yellowstone 2009-06-30 20:31:09 Unknown
MARCUS MARIE! Stop being such woman.
Steve From Yellowstone 2009-06-30 20:23:04 Unknown
Way too much. Which led to him being bullied in high school. Actually now his name is "Marcus". It was Tammy. Funny how that goes.
Steve From Yellowstone 2009-06-30 20:22:06 Unknown
MARCUS was touched to much by his uncle. Nevermind him.
lamet 2009-06-30 20:17:00 Unknown
