While I agree that this is probably a scam, I have indeed gotten legitimate credits from Verizon that I thought were fishy sounding. When in Doubt, contact your carrier, (in this case Verizon) and they verified that the offer I had received (a $20/month credit towards my Data usage) was from their marketing department.

Short story long - When in doubt, contact the vendor directly at a trusted number (like on your statement) and ask them to verify the information. If it is indeed legitimate, they should be fine with you verifying that fact.

This is a scam, I just also just got a call from this number no message, but after reading these posts, I thought I would share that I work for a cell phone company and what we are seeing is people that answer these calls give their Verizon account information to these scammers and in a matter of minutes, the Verizon account is hacked, new devices are placed on the lines, and international calls are being made from the new phones on the account.  I have seen people with bills over $1000, because of the international calls.  Not sure why the scammers are using this to make international calls, besides to get out of paying for them themselves, but just thought I would share, since I have helped at least 5 people in the last 2 weeks that have had this happen to them!! DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION to them! Verizon doesn't offer special credits like this, nor will they call you and ask for your information!!

Got a call from 1800922000 today and have no idea how they got my number - I use a tracfone.  When I tried to call the number back from my landline - the call would not go through.  Am not about to call them back from my tracfone after reading the info at this site.
