Received pre-recorded calls from this number at least once daily for over a month.  It's a recorded message saying to call John Thompson at 800-925-6236.  It does NOT say WHO they are calling, just to call them.  Our answering machine takes the call.  I picked up the phone once & began to ask them "WHO DO THEY WANT???"  only to find out there isn't even a live person I can pose my query to--just the pre-recorded message to call them!!!  Sure would be nice to at least know WHO THEY WANT!, but I'm not about to call them.  If they can't at least say in their pre-recorded message who they are calling, why should I call them?  For all I know, they have a WRONG NUMBER!

Have received a call from this number EVERY DAY (sometimes twice a day) for months.  A computer voice says it is an important call for Pam Fadish (sp?).  The computer says to hang up if you are not this person - which is what I did for a long time.  Finally in an attempt to make it stop I pressed 1 to hear what they had to say.  It was a recorded male voice saying, "This is Bob from National Enterprise Systems, a debt collection company.  Please call 1-800-925-6136", etc...  Whenever I call the 800 number it just rings and rings forever.

I get a call from 1(800) 925-6135 from "Tammy" at least once a week and she leaves messages for my father to return her phone call and leaves a reference number and ext. 1050. My father lives in Medina, Ohio and i live in Cleveland, Ohio. He doesn't even live with me and yet this "Tammy" keeps calling my house for him to return her phone call. I am goingto call her today and tell them to stop calling my house for my father. I'm also going to tell them to take my phone number off their list. I will post back what happens.

After getting multiple messages on my home phone from John Thompson (800-925-6136) and Dan Morgan (800-411-5317), I called these a***oles on my cell phone (of course I blocked the number) and the woman refused to identify herself or her company.  She then raised her voice and demanded that I tell her my name.  I explained to her that I was NOT going to give my name until she told me what kind of company she worked for.  She claimed she was not selling anything, but could not tell me the nature of the call until she had my name to look up my ?file?.  I argued with the woman for a few minutes about the legalities of the conversation.  She eventually hung up on me.  I think she was mad that she could not see my phone number, and had no idea who I was.

I recently worked at this horrible place. National Enterprise Systems is the collection agency from hell. It's the devil's worst nightmare. Employees are trained to collect according to the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act but once on the floor in their respective departments collectors are told to forget everything they learned.

My supervisor, Bryan Howard under the alias of Paul Stevens, regularly provided a second voice to collectors having trouble closing collections. This idiot would identify himself to callers as a federal agent, an NES attorney, etc., anything to try to scare the debtor into paying. He would actually tell debtors and their spouses that a lawsuit had been filed and if the account is not paid by postdated check by a certain time that day a deputy of the court was coming to serve the debtor on his job. I witness this on a daily basis all day long. B. Howard is neither a federal agent, attorney nor any of the other things he claims to be and NES don't sue debtors. All are clear violations of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.

Debtors are talked to as if they're inhuman. Even when the debtor is not home the person taking the message is treated like dirt. I will never forgot my supervisor shouting at an 81 year old African-American woman for not getting a pen and paper to take the message. "I DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE 81 YEARS OLD HE SCREAMED AT THE WOMAN." I've witness collectors hollering at kids "GO GET YOUR FATHER."

You are not supposed to talk to spouses?in certain states--about their significant others? debt unless given permission by the spouse to do so. This rule is ignored at NES. In fact when I left training I put the document about the spouse rule on my cubicle wall to reference only to have it snatched and trashed by Bryan Howard who said I wouldn?t need it.

The owners Ernest Pollack, his wife, and two sons: Scott and pie-faced Chris are well aware of what is going on. These people are hands on owners. They constantly walk the call room floors, note the individual collectors and group collection sales and hear all the violations first hand. The more a collector screams at a debtor the more they like it. People actually clap and cheer when a collector goes off on a debtor. All that concerns these greedy b*****ds is how much money they are collecting at any given time.

Payments are demanded in full although they do offer settlements that are too demanded in full. Money orders and mail-in payments are not accepted, only postdated checks over-the-phone or Western Union Transfers for Citi Bank accounts. Some other creditors do allow NES to also take payment by credit card. For the postdated checks debtors are asked to give their accounting and routing numbers. NES, the scumbags they are, attempts to take the money out before the postdate. Nice company huh!

Collectors and supervisors once provided with bank info by the debtor call banks automated customer service numbers to obtain how much money they have in their accounts. We have their social security numbers so getting info this way is like taking candy from a baby. Some banks have safeguards against this and required you talk to a live person. They also work this wickedness on debtors? credit card accounts or the credit card accounts of the debtors? spouse, mother, father, etc. I remember one collector on the phone with a debtor saying ?Your Mother Has $7,000 On Her Card She Can Use;? She Can Pay This Debt For You!?

If anyone needs someone who's "been there" in any of their legal actions against this despicable company I?m your guy.

Beware!  It has taken a month to straighten this out.  These people called my cell phone at least three times a day while I was at work.  When I had a chance to return the call, I was hung-up on.  I called back and tried to speak to a real-live person.  She lied about the company claiming to be a law firm.  When I chceked through the internet and found this to be a debt collector, I called back.  The woman cursed at me and hung-up.  After two hours, I finally spoke with a manager.  The debt they were tring to collect for had been previously resolved, so I didn't think there was anything to worry about.  Somehow, someone got a hold of my banking info and debited almost one thousand from my account.  It has taken forever for my bank to resolve this issue.  I have filed fraud charges and complaints with FCC and BBB.

So I had contacted the BBB and my matter was resolved.  I received confirmation from them along with NES's response saying they have blocked any numbers having to do with the account they were calling for and that we will no longer receive any calls.

AND I just realized today I haven't received a call or message from them for over a week.  So Much Better!

I started getting these calls on my cell phone last week. It comes up as "unknown number". I don't answer unknown numbers, I figure if I don't know them I am not talking to them. I get the same message from John Thompson. I received so many calls that I decided to answer it, I got a recording telling me to stay on the line until a representative came on the line. Are you kidding me! I answer their call to be put on hold! I am tired of these calls. They keep calling me while I am at work. I just want to put an end to this.

Same here except he has different names he uses here. We get 3-5 calls a day and we just click the answering machine off and on. I talked to our phone company and they said to keep a record and call the police. Or bring the numbers to them and they will call the person . Just a pressure tactic .

I have received calls from this company for over three months. I have not called back, but continue to get calls from once to 5-6 times a day. I do not have any debt or any reason why a collection agency would call me if that is what this company does.
Report this to www.donotcall.gov (the FTC). I am registered and have reported this company twice and will continue to do so.

We get at least 2 calls a day from John Thompson for the last month.  We are really tired of him harrasing us for no reason. We are reporting this number to AT & T and to the FCC.  This needs to be stopped.  We are on the "do not call list".  Evidently, this doesn't matter.

They are calling at all hours of the day same as everyone here. I called them back because there number always comes up unknown on caller ID so I usually don't answer it. However the John Thompson guy is always on the message machine. When I finally called them to get my number removed she was looking for someone else (a Keith Evans). Isn't there anything we can do about this? Legal action? The lady on the other end claims I will be taken off the list. Lets hope so....

These bozos called and left about 30 messages on my machine. I believe it was an automated message since every message was exactly the same. I finally called to see what they wanted. I had to call twice because the bimbo on the first call hung up on me when I ask why they were constantly calling my number. They were basically fishing for some guy with my same last name. I had to be rude before they would elaborate on the identity their outfit. The woman on the other end would only identify the company as NES and that they were a collection agency.

same as many of you.  Two calls a day both to my landline and my cell phone.  Calls the one number, then 1 minute later calls the other number.  All automated saying from John Thompson and to call regarding important business matter etc etc.

They must have obtained my numbers illegally since they cannot make calls like this to a cell number.

I never answer, but fills up my voicemail with the same repeated message.

'John Thompson', has rang my phone a minimum of twice a day  regarding an "important business matter", generally wakes me up and starts my day! After repeated attempts to return the call and find out why, a fast talking, obnoxious women has admitted there is no John Thompson, but she did attempt to reel me in by asking me to verify my husbands social security number..."just the last four digits". She indicated he had a bad debt. We are retired, with good credit and not so much as a past due notice.
LOOK OUT FOR THESE PEOPLE!  I do not know what their game is or how to stop them...any suggestions?

Everyday at the same time dinner time I get the same recorded message John Thompson with 1-800-925-6136 with the important business matter. I have tried to call back many times and finally got a real person. The woman asnwered the phone something "enterprises" maybe? I couldn't understand her and when I asked for clarification she demanded my phone number. When I refused to give it to her until she told me the company name and its type of business she said, "thank you ma'am" and hung up on me. How rude. This business interupts my family daily at dinner time and they don't even have the courtesy to answer my questions. Well I will be ignoring them from now on. Probably just turn my phone off at dinner because if it was really important business, they would have a real person call me not some stupid recording that is on an endless loop.
