I pressed on and when they found out I was not the business owner they hung up --- Guess they want my business real bad --- number displayed 800-927-1401  ID comes up  as *V32112524300021 --

"Hello my name is Amy and I will help validate your Google Plus listing. Am I talking to the business owner?" Except she works for Futurology Inc and not Google. They peddle expensive "internet listing" services with scare tactics (your business listing may be removed) for stuff which is free or gets done automatically anyway. If they want to waste my time, then I want to waste theirs. For cheap entertainment, I press 1 to speak to a live person, mute my handset, start my timer and see how long I can tie up their telephone equipment.

The calls are from a company called Futurology, Inc. --- look them up!  They are one of the new kind of legitimate scams.  Our entire economic system in the US has been undermined by this "legal lying" - an it's hurting everyone.  Because it is IS legal to lie to the consumer now (thanks to the things like the repeal of the SEC Act and the Patriot Act, just to name two) we, the People, can be and ARE lied to about any and everything yet WE are the ones overflowing our prisons for ridiculous petty things that 30 yrs ago were not even crimes but today, can be felonies!  The whole of the US has been fragmented, and our parts do NOT exceed what used to be a wonderful whole.  We're nation beset by scams and cons, and we get taken for rides daily - by a government who sold us out to corporations.

claims he is working for Google, poor quality connection with long delay, may be a relay to prevent call trace, when asked to identify himself, hangs up...

Recorded msg  claims to be from Google and will take down our listing if I don't talk to them....take it down I guess.....

would like to stop these annoying calls,

this number has called 2 times now  saying they are Google and I know for a fact they are not and would like for them to stop

They called and tried to act like they're Google and claimed that we haven't paid some fees from Google and our listing has been taken down.

No answer hung before answer but when you call number back it says speAk with rep or do not call so obviously they are a telaeketer of some sort

Another web placement recorded call.  I block the numbers, but these scammers just keep changing them.  If robo-calls are illegal, why is so hard to shut them down?
