Several calls on my answering machine from a "Jim Moore"  - caller ID - RCI - asking me "pick up the phone and make the effort" to return his call to the above mentioned number regarding a case file  Needless to say I did not comply, nor do I intend to.  If this is a debt collections company, they have no business calling me.  My bills are paid on time every month - before I even buy groceries - and I have an excellent credit rating.  P****off buddy!

Just got a call from this number for a "relative" of mine saying they were an attorney referral company (relative is an attorney) and he was helping them with a file. When i asked why they would be calling a relative that only seems him twice a year they said he listed me as a contact number. LIES. This was such a ridiculous story. I told them never to call here again.

Megan Cooper is a 3rd party debt collector troll for Pn Credit Services, which is headquartered in Massachusetts.  When she calls, hang up and file a complaint with your state's Attorney General Office.  Pn Credit Services is a bogus operation.

I got a call from them today regarding a bill my company has not paid in over a year (I was the one who signed the original contract for the services). The rep, Adam, was very polite and helpful in getting me the documentation that I needed to take to our AP department to settle the issue.  He's not my new BFF, but he was very professional.  His job is to collect the money that we legitimately owe, not make friends.

I received several mailings & phone calls from this number & a person claiming to be "Steven Smith".
He threatened litigation on an AT&T bill that is supposedly 16 months old.  Refused to mail a copy of the invoice from AT&T stating he is due to pursue legal action in 2 days.  claims he has only had this case since June 23.  I have been receiving mailings from this so called business for over 2 months but have never received any proof of any kind about the bill I supposedly owe.  Stated he could not provide any proof of type to show that THEIR business is legit!  Don't ever pay a collection company unless you can verify that you owe the debt, and verify with THAT company that they retained the specific collectors.

Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)

The Texas Debt Collection Act (TDCA)

The Texas Act essentially mirrors the Federal Act but actually entitles you to more remedies. Unlike the Federal Act, the Texas act applies to both 3rd party debt collectors (like collection agencies) and the original creditors attempting to collect their own debt. A violation of the Texas Debt Collection Act is also a violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act which provides for triple damages in certain circumstances.

HOW TO HANDLE DEBT COLLECTORS

If you get a call or letter from a collection agency about a debt you don't
think you owe, here's what to do:

Tell the agency in writing that you don't owe the debt and ask for proof.
Write within 30 days and send your letter by certified mail with a return
receipt requested.

Don't provide personal financial information, such as your Social
Security number, to debt collectors.
Don't pay any part of the debt ? that can restart the statute of
limitations on debt more than four to six years old. Plus, a court could
interpret your payment as your admission that the debt is valid.
If the debt is really old, be skeptical. This kind of "Zombie" debt,
which may have passed through several agencies but refuses to die, could be
something that you in fact did pay long ago.
Don't let the agency harass you. If you send a letter telling it to stop
calling or writing, it must do so, except to tell you that it is no longer
trying to collect or that it's pursuing a legal remedy.

It is important to note that just because a debt collector possibly violates a consumer statute, the debt that you owe is not forgiven simply by bringing a lawsuit against them. (However, it is possible to have the debt waived by the creditor during settlement discussions).

Even if you have decided to file Bankruptcy, and you qualify, it is possible to retain a cause of action to pursue against a debt collector after your debts have been discharged.

Specializes in harassing, threatening and intimating you to pay your bills.  They will call your family members, job, and neighbors to harass you into paying. They have no legal authority and it is too costly for them to pursue a legal law suit against you out of state so they resort to harassment and threats of filing a lawsuit against you and your family members which they can obtain this information through people search on the internet.  They are in constant violation of the Fair Collections and Recovery Act and need to be sued. I just got a call from them too and the woman said she didn't know what it was concerning other than an AT&T bill for an office that I closed well over a year ago.  I stopped practicing in that office June of 2009, and my lease with the building was up in January 2010.  I looked in the phone book and they apparently put my phone number in the phone book without my permission for 2010 and now they want to collect the fee for that.  No way!!!

They have been calling threating to sue me over an AT&T debt very unprofessional and rude and threatening messages and call my parents and have them upset now also. Almost worth a drive to their office to talk to them in person and see their attitude then. Steven Mathews wouldn't be so disrespectful and rude in person I am sure.

Do not call these people back. They are a collection. When u call RCI back they log your home phone number. These jerks called my neighbor and said they were my friends. Get a Magic Jack so that can't look u up. BEWARE DONT CALL THESE PEOPLE BACK! THEY R A COLLECTION AGENCY. VERY RUDE JERKS!
