... this was a legit call from Wells Fargo which I was told were finance the payments. It was a recording verifying i got the service that was charged to my account. I had financed a new floors that week with Wells Fargo thru LUNA/Empire. They just want a call back if you didn't authorize it or get the service.

I got a call with a prerecorded message from this number and called it back. It was just a courtesy call from Wells Fargo making sure I had received the washing machine I had financed through them last week and that I was happy with it. I almost forget they were the bank I used, since all the paperwork is taken care of in-store.

I got a message on my home phnoe to call 800-934-3799 "to verify I received my purchase I used my Wells Fargo CC on".  NO other information given. I have a Wells Fargo checking/savings but not a CC with them, figured maybe it was the debit/Visa I use daily.  My husband (SR) and son (JR) do not have Wells Fargo anything.  I called to inquire on what the were verifying and after advsing my home ph# where the message was left, the said it was for the Mister and I advised there is a JR or SR and Jr is in the military and would not give this home# but gave the 32 birth years and asked which it pertained to.  The person said only MR XXX could answer the call and would not even advise which one needed to call back.  I advised was on way to work but he would not assist unless the MR called back.  Looks like that won't be happening.
NOTHING more frustrating than a legal business leaving messages that leave you guessing as to why you need to even return a call.  It could have been a general message like "regarding your purchase on date......at......."!!!

Got a call yesterday, recorded message that it was Wells Fargo and they noticed what seems to be a fraudulent transaction on my account and to call them back at this 800-934-3799 number. Instead I called Wells Fargo's fraud division directly and verified my account is fine, no new accounts have been opened in my name and that THIS 800 NUMBER HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WELLS FARGO--IT IS SOME KIND OF SCAM ---BEWARE...DO NOT CALL THEM BACK!!!

I received a call from this number and answered, however there was no one on the other end and no recording played after 30 seconds of "Hello?" so I hung up and immediately looked up the number online. That when I found these other postings and it makes sense. I recently purchased bedroom furniture and signed up for the interest free financing. The store told me that it was through Wells Fargo. This call was legit, I just wished someone or a recording had come on the line.

This is not spam.  Wells Fargo was calling to ensure I am not a victim of fraud.  THey wanted to make sure that I was in fact the person who made the purchase.

I got the same call and thought the same thing, but yep-we just bought furniture and took advantage of the no interest financing.

Recording said it was Wells Fargo calling to make sure we received the living room suite we financed thru them. I guess its what it says and not another telemarketer.

Don't be a doucher.  Those who make these claims are all too often the same ones that can't understand an INTRODUCTORY rate from someone like Comcast, Charter etc....they come back and espouse how they got "ripped off" when their cable, phone, Vonage bill goes up after they sign up...they simply forget that it was a INTRODUCTORY rate before they can rake you over the coals.....

AT&T U-Verse is famous for it....when you see "as low as"....or a number followed by a few asterisks, don't be a douche READ THE F'IN documentation of the offer.....to not do so, you do at your own peril.

I just got the same call but, I just purchased an AC unit for my house, took advantage of their 12 months same as cash which was financed through Wells Fargo.  It's legit....probably....did you finance ANYTHING recently????  Quite a bit of their business is made up from consumer lending....Rooms to Go, HVAC companies, Repair Companies, Home Equity Loans...etc..etc....

Think about your recent purchases, it's probably the same deal.

It's Wells Fargo calling to make sure I received the couch that I financed through them.

It's a pre-recorded message from Wells Fargo and is legit - at least for me. We financed a couch through a furniture company who uses Wells Fargo and it was delivered last week. So they're just calling to make sure I received the couch that I'm about to start paying for.

The message left was:
"If you've not received your merchandise or your installation is in complete. Please call us at 18009343799. Again that number is 18009343799. Thank you for the opportunity to service your financial needs."

The company did not identify themselves in anyway - just these exact words.

We don't have a Wells Fargo account and told them so. Then I was asked if I wanted one. I mean WTF? No, I don't want to do business with the 3rd highest rated for bad customer service, suspicious activity and BS! Get a life asshats!!!!!
