Yep, I got an unsolicited call from someone claiming to be from Verizon Wireless, wanting me to sign up for a new 2 year contract.  

I had a call like this years ago, and even though I clearly said "no", they went ahead and signed me up anyway.

Be VERY VERY careful of calls like this.  Afterward, check to make sure that nothing has been done, that you didn't want done, to your Verizon Wireless account.

I've received several calls from 800-957-7139. Never a message. Just got another call from this number at 12:51 EST and called back. The recording says please call us during business hours which are 9AM to 8PM EST or something like that.. but it's clearly in the middle of biz hours.

A**holes called me too.  There was no one there when I answered.

Watch out! This is a scam, they may want your credit card number!  Apparently, they make it sound like you ordered something.  They were very nasty on the phone and when they don't get what they want, they hang up the phone on you.

I answered to get rid of them, and no one was there.
Does anyone pay attention to the do not call list?

Yet another new number for someone trying to sell me a new Verizon Wireless contract!

I finally picked up the call...it was Verizon Wireless Sales trying to sell me a new phone.  don't know what phone service you have on your cell, but if it's Verizon, that's probably what it is.

calls all the time with no answer and then when you call back it's call back during regular business hours.

This number just called me. Did not leave a message

I received the same as above on my cell.  One call Saturday at 11:26 am and the second on Wednesday at 5:09 p.m.  Wednesday I tried calling back and got the same message.  I'm on the "do not call" list on my cell so I'd like to know how they are getting through & where did they get my number.

Same Call (to my cell phone).... Same b.s. msg when I called back.
Can't stand telemarketing and privacy invasion...

I have a car for sale on craigslist.org, autotrader.com......that's gotta be what this is about....

Same here .. Have received two phone calls now from this number. I just called back today and also received the recorded message to call back during business hours and the business hours are 9am to 11pm. Crazy! Can we blcok this number?

Received a call Sept. 25 9:16PM. Did not answer. Called it back to hear the same message listed above, "we are closed...." no mention as to who "we" are, so that I would be able to vent my anger in one particular direction >:/

A blatant invasion of "our" privacy

I can't stand it when this no. keeps calling, hanging up and you can't get back to them to tell them to go to he__ __.....

I missed the call on my cell phone from this number, called it back, no mention of a company name and generic recording states that "the office is currently closed...but if you would like to place an order or check on the status of an order you already placed, please call back during our regular business hours between 9am and 11pm Eastern Standard Time Monday through Friday."

It's Tuesday...it's 10:45am.  Why are their offices closed when i call back during their regular business hours?

Answered this call but no one was on the other line. tried to call back but it says the office is closed. probably a telemarketer
