I can confirm that this is Eastlink Accounts Receivable department.  I had to contact them about paying an outstanding (Eastlink's fault...) amount.  After going through the process, I was a bit leery about the whole thing so I called Eastlink support to inquire about it.  The support rep checked my account and confirmed the payment had been placed on it with the correct receipt number that I was given by the accounts receivable lady.  After confirming, I advised that they should have this number readily available on their website because a Google search of the number does not yield results for Eastlink, rather sites like this.  The rep agreed.  Sooo, long winded story short, that is a legit number for them.  To DEBK above, they might have had the number on file for someone else that had it before hand.  Which could be why they were calling the the previous owner of the number didn't pay their bill.

same call  they left a voice mail  and it was just saying eastlink  hours of business . I do have an Eastlink Account .... they couldve asked for my info like  address    date of birth   full name  ect ect   ...  Beware  !!!

I have been receiving calls from this number also. I just obtained my number with a new pay as you go phone.Real annoying and i have never even had an eastlink account ever.

husband received a call from them about 2 hrs ago. Heis on another coast. they claim to be Eastlink..which is nation wide. They told him our acct is in need of immediate attention and to hold for an operator. He hung up, called me to ask what condition it is in, 'fine'. I contacted the real Eastlink ot verify. All fine here. This is a fraudulent call, Eastlink is looking into it, they tell me.

The thing was is htat the cell they contacted him on has only been active 3 weeks, he is with a new contractor. THAT is what set me off........alarms ringing like crazy. DO NOT talk to these people, at all.........
