There is one simple rule for me. Calls without clear identification (number and name) will not be answered.  If a call is being answered, no personal information is given out. No signing up for anything on the phone.

I saw this number on a job ad on Craigslist and searched it to see if it was legit. Guess it isn't. Glad I took a look first.

I get calls from this number 2 to 3 times a day on my cell phone.  The caller always claims to be from a different insurance company than the caller before, but the number that is used is always the same.  Some of the companies that they use are Nationwide, Health Services Corp., and United Insurance.  My cell phone is registered on the new National Do Not Call list for cell phones but this does not seem to dissuade them.  Something needs to be done!!!

sold me a car warranty. Offered it at $2400 or payments. They have never sent me anything. I assume it is a scam. I have seen others describe the exact same experience.

Well, they got me.  $2100 worth of useless extended car warranty.  The phone number they gave me doesn't work ( 1-800-970-5903) and the number that came on my VISA bill (1-800-970-5903) just gives me an answering machine.  I keep leaving messages but get no call back.  I've contacted VISA and they are doing what they can.  Lesson learned.

This is a FRAUD!!!! Do not fall for it.

I bought a car warranty, they offered it for $2400 if i payed the entire thing or i could do payments which i chose. But like others above, i have never received anything, i assume it was a scam.

I have had to cancell my crdit card because the amount that was offered for an extended warranty on my truck. I paid the $2400 and plus to an unknown place still have not recieved any information. I am in the middle of a fraud claim. with this unknown insurance place

I got a phone call fro a man named Richard regarding an extended warranty for my car.  I didn't give any personal info, but when asked if I could just go through the dealership where I purchased my vehicle, he stated that wouldn't be a good idea as the rates would not be as good as what he could offer.  I asked for a number I could call him back at, and this is the one he gave.

Same here, these scam artists keep bugging me about Health Insurance. I talked to them once and they were very "hurry this deal wont last" type of pressure salesman ship. I just ignore them now, but I wish I could get them to stop calling.

I am also getting calls from this number, and I actually answered today.  When I answered, the guy said he could not hear me and there must be a bad connection and that he would call right back.  I did not answer again.  I hope they get the idea that I am NOT interested!!  Thanks for the heads up from everybody.

Today is Nov 2nd and i just recieved this phone call from 800-970-5903.I was speaking to a representative from "Nationwide Insurance Group" and she was so nice until i said i had to talk it over with my husband she then started getting rude and said this policy was only for SERIOUS people wanting health care at a good cost. I said i have a right to ask questions and think about it before i go any further she did not like this answer she was very RUDE when she said look i have the email right here that says YOUR husband wanted this quote i said to her that I filled out the information to get LEGAL insurance quotes and when i said that she started yelling at me on the phone i said lets just make this short and sweet your a scam and we both know it otherwise there would not be a problem with the consumer asking questions, I then said take my number off you list. SHE HUNG UP!!!!! watch for these calls i received another one from a differant company with the name of Beech street 1-800-979-4870.

I have been recieving a call from that number twice a day for about a week now.  I have never had the opportunity to anwer because I've been at work.  They call about 8:30 am and about 4pm every day.  They never leave messages, and its getting irritating...thanks for the heads up...I will just ignore them. This is the number that has REPEATLY called our house number.  Does not leave messages, however there is a live person on the other end.  His name is Steve.  VERY RUDE.  Yesterday when he called I finally answered and he asked for my husband.  I said my husband wasn't available but I will take a message.  He wanted to sell health insurance.  I said we had some and I told him he better stop calling and as I was talking, he hung up.  

Steve just now called again this morning at 8:30.  My husband answered and he told Steve to stop calling.  Steve got all hostile and said very
nastily...do you want a trip to Tahiti? My husband was yelling at him, Steve was yelling back.  My husband hung up.

I did some research and found the actual number, 954-510-1824.  My husband spoke a very nice lady.  She said she would take our number off their list.  My husband threatened to talk to the FCC and they would be fined. She said she would personally talk to Steve and get into his computer to take our names off their as well.

They called me yesterday but I couldn't answer and called back today asking if I was looking for health insurance I believe they said they were nationwide. I told them I wasn't looking.

Didn't recognize the number so muted it. Glad now I didn't answer. I'll be prepared next time. Thanks. They won't know what hit them.

Called me with the same health insurance stuff.  I told him I was already in the process of getting insurance.  He then tried to question me.  When I said I wasn't going to discuss my personal life, he hung up on me.

No professional company would do that.

Got a call from this number 800-970-5903.  When I said hello no one there.  Thanks for the heads up, I'll not answer next time.

Called my mom with a quote for health insurance, claiming to be American Medical.  Wanted bank account information and quick decision saying the offer might not be available if she called back later today.  Left 800-970-5903 as callback number.

whoever is using this number is calling themselves Nationwide Health insurance and is getting personal information, then accessing the bank account and withdrawing money not owed.  Then when you change your information, they give you a nasty call and say ugly things to you.   DO NOT trust this!
