We received a post card with the phone number on it. We called and then attended the presentation in Westhampton NJ. Unfortunately, we were caught at a weak moment and purchased this bucket of nothing. We paid $7500 for the chance to buy weeks of vacation at a "discounted" price. We couldn't see the prices until we paid and got our on line ID. Once we looked at the site, we saw that they had drastically misrepresented the prices for the weeks vacations and that we could have gotten it cheaper at an on line travel auction or a one of the sites like Travelocity. They are arrogant and uncooperative and the paper you sign gives away your legal right to cancel the contract. DON'T BUY THIS!!!!

Do not get involved with Dreamworks Vacation Club. They will lie to you to get you sign up, and when you try to make reservations at the resorts they promised you could get into, the availabilty does not exist. Worst of all...they won't even answer the phone or emails to talk to you!
If there is a lawyer out there that would like to talk, please contact me.

I got a card in the mail too. It was made to look like an airline boarding pass and it included this message on the back: "Call for details of participation. Certain terms, conditions, restrictions may apply."
I think we all know what that means...

DREAMWORKS VACATION CLUB IS A BUNCH OF LIARS AND CON MEN.THEY ACTUALLY PLANT PEOPLE IN THE SEATS TO BOOST ATTENDANCE AND RING A BELL WHEN THEY SELL ONE OF THESE PACKAGES.WE ASKED EVERYONE WHO LEFT AND NOT ONE OF THEM BOUGHT.BUT THEY RANG THE BELL THREE TIMES.THEY RING THE BELL TO EXERT PRESSURE ON YOU TO BUY BECAUSE THEY SAY THEY WILL GIVE A FREE TRIP TO THE FIRST FEW WHO BUY. RUN QUICKLY DO NOT BUY.IF THE FREE TICKETS AND GAS ARE ANY INDICATION OF THEIR HONESTY YOU WILL WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME.I DID AND I NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING.WHY IS THIS ALLOWED TO EXIST IN AMERICA?. ITS AS IF THEY ARE ALLOWED TO GO RIGHT INTO YOUR LIFE AND EXTRACT MONEY AND GIVE YOU NOTHING.THAT IS ROBBERY ACCORDING TO WEBSTERS DICTIONARY.

I received this same offer back in March of this year...As all of you here I was also very skeptical. I was certain it was going to be a timeshare presentation (although the name clearly states "Vacation Club") To my surprise it was not a time share (thank GOD) and I ended up joining :o) As for the "free tickets" there is a REFUNDABLE deposit around 50.00, I sent mine out and received confirmation for my trip to Vegas (which I booked through my new membership) a about 4 weeks later.
So far Ive yet to run in to any issues...I will update you after my trip in September.
Good luck!

I have cancelled the appointment for today and may reschedule for sometime in July if I can get confirmation that anyone ever did receive the vouchers and was able to secure free tickets and car rental. Hope others visit this site and provide input.

Hi
Let me know if you go and send the money for the airline tickets. And get the tickets. I wouldn't mind being bored for 90 minutes and spending $100 if I could get tickets to CA.

Dave, we also received a post card. When I called I asked specifically if it had anything to do with a timeshare & the response was "NO". The info you provided helped me to understand how they get around the "free" ticket scheme. Did you or anyone you know actually send them a copy of driver's license or the $50 money order per ticket? Anyone know what the restrictions on the vouchers include? Do you know anyone who ever got that "free" trip and car rental??? Anxious to hear. we have an appointment tomorrow night and at this point don't intend to go.
Thanks,
JLC

I just received a post card with the same people. Dream Works Vacation I looked them up through the Better Business Bureau and found that they have 17 complaints in the past 36 months. The BBB droped them for failure to comply.

I responded to a card just like your which came in the mail. I went to a 45 min presentation where they tried to sell me a vacation club package for $9,000. I turned it down and at the end they told me they would mail me a letter the next day which would contain instructions on how to claim my "gift" airline tickets to anywhere in the US. They explanied that I wold have to mail $100 in postal money orders to an address in Virgina who would sned me the vouchers. They claimed the $100 was to cover taxes on the tickets. THey are so full of crap. Sending a postal money order is no different then mailing them cash. Tell them to go to hell for wating your 45 min and complain to the State Attourney General Office for False Advertising. It's the only way to get these guys for breaking the law.

The above number came on a post card from "Dream Works Vacations" The card claims that if I call that number I can get two "free" tickets anywhere in the U. S. Given what I have read so far I would not believe the disclaimer at the bottom of the card, "this is not a solicitation for a timeshare"
