Received phone call on 6/18/09 claiming to be able to reduce credit card debit. This was my work cell number and I don't list it for any credit card reference. Realized it was a recording and hung up. Saw this post and wanted to post for other people. Too many people out there trying to take advantage of others. It is a shame what our world is coming to.

Lawyers hire these guys to find leads for them, simple as that.  Are the Lawyers aware of the illegal business practices these call centers use?

This is one of the companies behind these calls:

Nationwide Legal Referral Service

30 Park Rd, Tinton Falls, NJ 07724-9715

Contact Phone:     (732) 544-4045

Call them, report them, but DO SOMETHING.

Oh, and here's one of the Law Firms that uses this service:

This is just another one of the numbers that the same call center has used. Supposedly it dails your number and depending on what recording was used that time , when you press one, you are then transferred to one of many of these scam companies. The number changes about once a week. So far I have traced it down to about 4 companies, but I am sure there are more. The latest one today is the credit card one. here is the number I was able to get from one of the reps. Their call back number is 1-877-553-3328. You will need to press any ext. number between 1 and 150 and you will get different people. Like me , I plan on calling and bugging them. Try it. it might make you feel better.

Received a call from this number this afternoon. When I Answered they hung up. I'm really disappointed because I have been waiting for Obama to send me my stimulus check. I thought maybe that was him calling to confirm my address.

Got a call from this number, answered, got the message about lowering credit card rates, then "press 1 to talk to one of our reps, press 2 to be removed from this list". I pressed 2 and it disconnected.

Interesting, I too got a call from this number with the same result as every1 else. If you note all the previous messages, they seem to have happened within a 5 hour span. Looks like some spammers have started something new. Beware, just hang up.

Got a call from this number on my cell phone.  They said they had to talk to me about my credit card, which is odd since I don't have any credit cards.  Pressed 1 to go through to operator, who said she was from "financial solutions." I said "I don't have a credit card and want to know how I got on your list" and she hung up on me.

Just got a call from these scammers. Showed up as "800 Service" on the Caller ID.  Answered, told to press 1, told them this was a Do Not Call number, and they immediately hung up.

Beware of these parasites.

Recording first claiming to lower ny credit card interest rate.  Then a female came on claiming to be from "Finanial Solutions". When asked how she got this number, she immediately hung up.  I too have my number listed on the "Do Not Call" list.  This is most likely a scam!!!BEWARE!!!

Received a call from this number on my cell phone.  Person on the phone asked if I was interested in lowering my interest rates on all my major credit cards.  The lady asked how much my total debt is, and when I told her, she hung up on me.

They claim to lower interest rates for credit cards.  When told I pay less than 10% already they hung up immediately.  They claimed no association with any bank, much less the one I use.  This was a call to my cell phone, which is on the Do Not Call list.  I am certain this is a scam.
