Someone you know is trying to call you from jail. This is a number that shows up when an inmate has money on their own jail account and uses their own money to call you from jail.  Much better than getting collect calls.  If the call goes to your voicemail you will likely only get the end of the recorded message.  The actual caller cannot leave a message because you have to hit 5 to receive the call.  If you don't answer then it is only a recorded message that you will hear the very tail end of.

If this person keeps calling they must really want to talk to you, maybe you should answer the call.

Got a call @12:15 AM, woke me up. I tried to call back to find out who that was, got the recorded message that my call can not go through at the moment and try again.

801 290 6007 - I have received 10 voicemails over the past 3 days from this number.  The calls come at all hours of the day and one right after another for several tries at a time.  Has anyone figured out how to block it before it even gets to my voicemail?

You get a call from this # from salt lake jail, somebody has been arrested and is trying to contact you. It is a "pre-paid collect" call whatever that means. This is what you get for letting private companies run the local penal system. I don't know if you are charged for the call, but what does pre-paid collect mean?

Called at 3:50 am. It said I have a free paid called and hung up.

Called me at 4:00 in the morning - I did not get the call, but what kind of business calls you at that time!

Filing complaint, and have contacted the police.

Inmates get a free 60 second phone call usually just before they are released & they usually use it to call somebody for a ride or to relay a message. You are not charged for the call as it states it is a PRE PAID Call from an Inmate from inside the Jail.
