I just received a call on my cell from 801-846-6544.  I did not recognize the number so I did not answer.  I called it back and it rang to a fax machine

It was the very first call I received (at 3:40 p.m. CDT on 04/29/10) on a brand new replacement cell phone (with a number listed on the Do Not Call registry).  I believe it asked if I wanted to participate in a "survey".

It was definitely a mortgage-related robocall with "Obama has passed new laws" - got that far before I hung up.

I have two properties in foreclosure - that may be where they got my cell phone number.

Is that a common denominator for many of you? (If so, I highly recommend doing a search on "foreclosure fraud")

Phone rang two times.  Answered, and no reply.  This is a registered no call phone

IMHO: I think it's a bogus number to cause people who are curious enough to google it, just like we all did. What did we find, not a reverse number search or an id for the number. Instead there are a bunch of ads for services that for a nominal fee, even if you only subscribe for one month will allow you to look up all kinds of information including numbers. Putting $$$ in their pockets. Free money....

Nice gimmick! They even use recapture codes to give a sense of validity to our bitching...

got a call from this number today.  There was a partial recording - something about a stimulus and then it went dead.  I would like this number to never contact me again.  I'm signed up with the "do not call" registry but it doesn't seem to make any difference.  I still get at least 10 unidentified or soliciter calls every single day.

Recording that stared 'this is an important message about your mortgage' and then I hung up.

Got call didnt answer. they didnt leave message and when i called number sounded like a fax machine transmitting. How do they get cell phone numbers. Are we not allowed privacy anymore?

Was a message about my mortgage, which I no longer have.  I too wonder how they got my cell.

I did a reverse look up and it is some company out of Midvale Utah. I would like to know how they got my cell phone number.
