Called my 800 number on July 14, 2010 at 3:34 AM! They stayed on the line for 5.4 minutes and thus apparently left me a message. I probably deleted it the moment it came in.

Called my 800 number three different times for a total of 22 minutes. Is this a way for ATT to obtain more money. I get a lot of hang ups so they must call and just use up the minutes when I am not in the office. No messages but this was back in June so cannot recall. I dislike crooks.

So I finally heard back from these bottom feeders and they asked for all my phone numbers including toll free numbers (claiming that they only call toll free lines) as well as my business address and also stating that they would not remove my number without providing this additional info. Only a fool would give them all this info so they can turn around and sell it to more telemarketing scumbags.

These guys are not only aggravating but grossly unprofessional. If you are going to send out an illegal robo-call in the guise of a "charity" than at least rehearse it before you record. The caller is stuttering and fumbling all over the place. Someone needs to make people like this pay.

I work an overnight shift in Iowa, got this call at 1:20 am on one of our lines. Very annoying, very whiny voice on the other line, very poor planning on someones part here.

Same illegal robocall as everyone else here received. More like a diatribe, 4 minutes plus...geez shut up already. I don't think pressing 5 to be removed worked as the recording kept on yapping. Caller ID just said Cellular Call. I sent an email to their gmail address (quite fishy for a legit non-profit to use) telling them to add my number to their DNC list and how no one appreciates these phone calls. Fingers crossed that I never get another one of their bs calls again.

I checked out their web site, and it's pretty basic. In fact it's on eof those generic types on Godaddy that you can make in 2 minutes. Then, they use a gmail account? Any reputable fund-raising group would have a REAL domain and a REAL e-mail. And finally, go to Google Maps and enter the address. Then zoom to Street View. Their address is in a residential section. This is someone working out of their house. Not my idea of a reputable service that I would send my money to. Especially when they have to resort to a poorly recorded message and then use an auto-dialer to call every number in North America.
My recommendation? Hang up as soon as you hear the message. Then e-mail them to stop calling you: thewoodcross@gmail.com

Infuriating.

They called my home office at 3:30, woke up my puppy and my sick 85 year old mother. I am so ticked. I tried calling and got a fast busy signal. What is their website or other phone number? I need to call them and give them a piece of my mind. I hate this kind of crap

5:14am phone call...they'd better be glad I slept thru it because I would have thrown every 4- letter word in the book at them. I will be reporting them to the Attorney General...

Robocall at 2:45 pm EST (at my office) from "The Wood Cross" in Provo, Utah. Message was about 4 minutes long, and consisted of a guy rambling about low-income people needing contraceptives and how it was a shame to send financial aid overseas when money is needed here. I looked up their website and they seem to be an actual nonprofit organization; I suspect they have some sort of conservative agenda that they are trying to be subtle about. Very strange call.

call came to my home at 3:35 a.m. - wooden cross or something similar

7:05 a.m. - wife answered call from this number - taped message. She hung up.
She *thinks* the guy said, "This is Tom from the Red Cross", but... can't be sure.
Really, really rude. Tried to call the number back - busy circuit sound. Looked the
number up in reverse directory - originates in Provo, Utah from an unlisted cell phone.
WHY do the phone companies even allow people to abuse their phones like this - i.e.,
stopping them from receiving incoming calls, etc.? Coming from Provo, Utah, I have
to wonder if this may be a part of the Mormon's new public relations push. Dunno.
Just need it to stop.
