These people are fckn ridiculous

Received a call from these bozos, left no message, CID says (AMERCNFORK,UT).  The number is from the county of American Fork, UT and is serviced by http://www.veracitynetworks.com.  Veracity is not BBB accredited and has numerous complaints filed against it.

This is a survey scammer using "push" surveys to manipulate your view of particular political candidates running for office.  If you talk with them, get the candidates name (or organization) who authorized the survey and post it here.  

I got a call at 9:11 PDT last night woke me out of a dead sleep

A few days ago, I received a call for CA Senators in my area in the upcoming elections.  Seemed like they were getting a feel for the issues and were representing one candidate..... took 20 +++ minutes.  I wasn't thrilled by it, but I did go to the guys website and told him the issue that would be a game changer to me, that wasn't covered in the survey.

As it gets closer to the election, there is another type of polling you have to watch out for.  Someone above said INFLAMMATORY.   The dangerous type of poll is PUSH POLLING.

"What do you know about Candidate A"
"What do you know about Candidate B"
(they ask to make it seem legit and also not to p****off one of their own supporters by "seeming" underhanded)

Then the PUSH comes to SHOVE....

"if you knew Candidate A beat his children / cheated on his wife / is a drunk, whatever, WOULD YOU VOTE FOR CANDIDATE A?".... OF COURSE NOT!!!!  They have now poisoned the candidate in your mind, WHICH IS THE INTENT of PUSH POLLING.

I didn't answer this call, nor do I know why they called.  They did call twice, two hours apart tonight.

Got a call after 9....they hung up on my answering machine before I could get yo the phone and tell not to call me again!

2 calls so far.. One call at 9:15 PM....... Now block listed...

I got a similar call about another CA office. Mine ended up being "pro" a specific candidate. Clearly both of these were "push polls" and were designed, as you suggested, to be infomercials.

Thanks for your responses all. I received two calls  in less than an hour tonight, let them go to voice mail and now will block the number.

I saw the CID, "American for UT" and figured is was a political call and decided to answer and maybe have some fun. It turned out to be a "push poll", a political add disguised as a poll where they ask some leading questions about the upcoming election and then begin to make some statements about a particular candidate and if they make you feel favorable/unfavorable (1 - 10 scale). It seemed pretty clear that the statements in question were chosen in response to my earlier answers and I stopped the girl after the 3rd on to just fill them all in as moderately favorable to save us both some time. The call lasted about 10 min and was educational in that I got to see first hand how a push poll works! I'm sure we're going to be seeing a lot more of these. They should probably be outlawed. On the positive side, maybe there will be a backlash against candidates who use them.

If you decide to answer a political call, especially on like this, the first thing out of your mouth should be who is sponsoring this call.

I received several calls from same number.  no one answers.  I tried calling back but the number is out of service.  if someone finds out the number of the group who is behind this, please post.  I think it is time to start calling them up as well at all hours of the day

Huh? from Utah Blocked! I don't know who this person is, and i don't even have 1 friend in Utah, lol.

We received a phone call from this number during dinner, so I didn't take the call.  After dinner, I called the number back to see who it was.  I got a recording saying, "The number you have dialed is not in service at this time."  Mind you, I didn't dial the number.  I just pressed the number which called me on my I-phone.

Called me 4pm to do a research poll (immediately forgot the name of the company the woman said, of course, but it did not match the caller ID which was American for UT).  Survey focused on local CA elections for Mike Honda's seat, specifically Mr. Honda, Ro Khanna, and Vanila Singh.  Entire survey was extremely biased and inflammatory against Mike Honda, so I assumed this was someone test marketing possible approaches for Mr. Khanna or Dr. Singh's campaign.  Although it could have been one giant infomercial due to the length of the statements to which I was to respond. They asked for normal demographic information.

I asked what company the person was calling from but he couldn't tell me.  I asked for a company phone number or web address, the guy said, "I just work here."  I told him I wasn't interested and since he couldn't tell me anything about his company, not to call me again.  The next day, I received seven calls from this same number.

Received two calls from them yesterday they didn't say anything when I answered the call...

I got a call last night from 801 980 5343 from Amercnfork UT after 9 PM. I said hello a few times I got heavy breathing and they hung up. I would report to the do not call list but that list is ineffective.

Received a call from this number when I answered they hung up and I received several more calls and no one was on the phone.

Got a call today at 5:44 PM PST,  calling and wanting to do a survey.  Something on behalf of American Indians.  I said no and they hung up.

I have received 2 calls today from this number and didn't answer. We have been getting at least 1 call per day from them for the past week, usually when we are not home and they don't leave a message. My husband answered one at 9pm a few days ago and said hello but nobody talked and they just hung up. Who are they and how do we get it to stop? They are calling after my kids go to bed, awful!!

We have received five calls today from this number. The first two I answered and hung up immediately. The third time, I did not speak but listened, they hung up on me. The fourth call, the male caller asked for "Bryce", I replied "wrong number", he apologized and hung up. The fifth call, a female caller asked for "Jane" which happens to be my wife's first name, but used a last name I didn't recognize, I said that it was my fifth call, asking for people who do not live here and who were they? No response. I demanded to know who they were representing and they hung up.
