We have gotten many calls from "amcol" and they do not have accurate personal information.  I think it is a scam as they will not answer questions about why they are calling.  They just ask stalling questions of me.  They also do not respond as soon as we answer they phone which also makes me think they have multiple calls going out at once.  I can't imagine who they would be collecting for!  Stop calling our home.

Receiving calls at various times during the day. Usually 2 calls a day. Nobody says anything, just dead air. When you call the number back they do not give you information.

omg! i have been receiving calls from this number for the past month every morning! It's super annoying they don't say a darn thing ever!! Wthell stop calling me!!

We have been getting a couple of calls a day from this company. The only way I know who they are is I have caller ID.
They don't say "ANYTHING" If they would talk maybe I could figure out what is going on.

This # calls me all the time. Sometimes 5 times in 10 minutes. I have told them if they want money to take me to court. Then I will file bankruptcy. The # they are calling is not even listed to me. It was giving to the Hospital for emergency contact Info only. I just now received 3 calls in the last 5 minutes from them. I have even hung on the line and they will not say anything and when it goes to message they don't leave 1. At this point I call that harassment.

It must be a collection agency, though why an upstate utility company would use someone out of the 864 area code is beyond me. Maybe they want to run up your other bills...

As the others above, I am receiving constant calls from this number, and if I answer, there is dead air, they hung up.  Lately they call and the phone only rings 2-3 times then they hang up.  This is very frustrating and I want it to stop.  Thank you.

I have't a clue why they are calling me from this # when I answer the phone no one is there. I just got his Phone # about a month ago. They may be wanting the person that had the # before but I do not want them calling this #. It is also on a no call list

I get a call every morning at the same time from 803-217-3812 or the last digit 2,3 or 4.  When I answer there is dead air.  How do I get it to stop?

I do have a complaint about this number.  They keep calling, and they are wanting someone that does not live at this address.  I have informed them of this, but this does not stop them from calling. They do call quite often, .

Charming... I just got a phone call from them on my cell. My number is an *Arizona* number. Why the heck is a company from South Carolina calling MY number?? I dont have any medical bills! I havent been to the hospital or the doctor since.... jeez, 07 - 08.

That bill did go to collections, but it was our own fault and we paid it off! The only other medical bill I've had was a dental bill that we paid off last year.

Non payment of a hospital or medical bill can show up on your credit report, however most companies who do a credit check and see medical bills will and do overlook them.  They also hold a lesser importance on your credit report (number rating) as opposed to a credit card or loan nonpayment

this agency does not call 24/7...AMCOL Systems obeys strict adherence to the Fair Debt Collection Practices act...I've worked for them and though I hate their stinky guts, I must give them credit...some of their collectors can be tough, but they are one of the best agencies going

I'm tired of getting calls from this. All I get is a recorded message for a Lauren something-or-other. I don't even HAVE any medical bills.

AMCOL is a medical bill collector; you must owe a hospital or medical group from an old bill.  Non-payment will show up on your credit record.

Just got this call agian they call everyday.They never leave a message. My caller ID says it is from Amcol Systems who ever they are. I just wish they would stop calling.

same number calls me, and also 8032173813, started around the time i checked for dsl on the net and started getting calls from 8006579309 as well.

Same here ... then they just hang up ...
