Women said her name was Jenna smith would give any information so I wouldn't give any information

I've been receiving some out of town numbers lately due to home construction so I answered.  It was a woman who knew my name.  She said she was calling from Rock Hill, SC.  I said "Yep - I saw that on the caller ID - What's up?"  She said she could not discuss any information with me until she verified who I was.  She said there was a federal law that I had to answer questions to prove my identity to her before she could tell me what she was calling about.  I said "Well what information do you need to know?"  At that point she asked me to verify my home address.  So I told her that I wasn't giving a total stranger my home address and personal information if she could not tell me the matter of the phone call.  

I've got some unpaid bills - not going to lie - but you never know who may be out there phishing for your personal info to sell.

debt collector tacked on a mere 550$ to my student loans from winter 2012. Harassment to no end.

This number calls repeatedly.  When I call back, it wants my SSN....which they are not getting.  I'm not sure who this is, but I'm blocking them.  I work nights, and it's disturbing when they call all day long.

This # does not leave a message but when called back, there is a voice mail option for someone with a southern accent asking to leave your SS# and a brief message.

This number keeps calling my cell. Does not leave a message.
