Here is a link to a list of the companies.  People should post more name and telephone numbers that these guys are using.  Also, anybody who got sued with the fake documents these guys used should ask the court for their money back.  Anybody who paid and did not owe, but was convinced to pay because of fake documents should also demand their money back.

Here is a link I forgot to post where the Attorney General for Colorado shut down United Credit Recovery and the all of the owner, Len Potillo's assets.  They have Windsor Law, World Recovery Service, GTF Services, American Debt Sales, Standley and Associates, Dalothian Capital, Jedburgh Capital, Nature's Flava, Kwan Financial and LGP financial that is currently known.

As someone pointed out above, they change phone numbers everyday so that you can't research them online and find out about them being shut down for bank fraud and affidavit forgery.

They also may call from 877 531 6993, 877 365 0025, 816 410 0835 and lots more.  They can just change numbers whenever people post about it on the internet.  They just want to get you on the phone before you can research them and put pressure on you to pay immediately before you realize what is going on.

Smith and is the collection agency that used to be called World Recovery Service.  If the accounts are from United Credit Recovery or maybe a new name of Dalothian Capital, be careful!  These companies keep getting shut down for using fake legal structures, threatening arrest, using fake documents like affidavits and switching names every couple of months.  If you catch them doing any of this you should be sure to report them to the FTC, your state AG and the attorney listed on the FTC complaint at the link I posted.

Called today to say that there was an outstanding debt from 2004 for $1200. Discovered that it was a South Carolina number. Terminology made no sense - a restraining order has to do with threat of harm in a criminal proceeding, not debt collection. IT'S A SCAM! When challenged, the caller hung up.

Got the same message as above!  They say my name but half of my sat name!!!!! And if I owed anyone anything they better have the courtesy to request it by writing instead of calling my cell!!!! I had been greeting calls from different numbers that I reported all the numbers to Federal Trade Commision and the calls stopped!!!! I probably have to do it again!!! These people need to get a life!!!!

Caller said this was a court matter  for one of my sons . This is a scam as I have been called  before. I do not answer and let this go to my answering machine. I am on the national no call register and would like to see these calls stopped. Call was very threating as far as to say that  there was a restraining order and I have 24 to 48 hours to respond. I should have my attorney call them. I think these callers should be fined. I hope that these scammers can be stopped.

This number just called my husband and my son cellphone today saying that there is an open civil lawsuit against me and need to contact them in 48 hours. The message didn't give any contact person or any law office name.

Answered the phone and an automated voice claimed a complaint is being filed against me along with a restraining order. Did not mention any details including my name. SCAM SCAM SCAM. Adding this number to my blocked list.

Unwanted call from Regional Legal Center from South Carolina, claiming that I was named in suit: A04A-4138 with regards to a restraining order.  Attempted to call back and no one was available.  It is a tedious scam.

The called me saying there is a civil suit against me....I knew automatically something was wrong. Also said there was a restraining order against me???? lol.....I just googled the number and found this....SCAM !!! I just wish I could stop them from calling my house!

I JUST received this SAME exact message. They called both my cell phone and my landline. No name left, no company, nothing.I live nowhere near NC (where the number originated from) and have never had ANY accounts of business dealings there. I think this is a "scam" as well. Would love to know if our "case numbers" match!  I would also love to hear what your lawyer advises before I contact mine!

Getting the same call and they don't even have the right name!  Telling me I'm being contacted for some kind of court case with some kind of restraining order involved.  Had someone contact me about trying to serve me with papers about a week ago as well.  Getting really pissed about it.  Not only calling me but my family as well.

This number called my husband today - this is absolutely ridiculous!!!!  All these posts and no one can seem to do anything about them???  They can so easily find so much of our information - but, law enforcement can't find theirs????  Doesn't that seem strange????  Already called creditor - they confirm that it's a scam.  Still frustrating.

Just reported them to Virginia's Attorney General's office and the Federal Trade Commission and the Consumer Financial Bureau. The reps even googled the phone number and saw all the complaints!

They stated I co-signed a credit card with my sister-in-law in 2001. Never did such a thing, divorced her brother in 2004. They are even naming my current husband on the case. Wanted to make sure that "when served with my papers, that they do not feel threatened when coming on my property." Who is the one feeling threated with these phone calls?!?!?

I have been recving calls from these people for a long time. They somehow obtained my best friends telephone number, my grandparents telehone number, and my boyfriends work telephone number! They call me and all of my family everyday scarring the bejesus out of everyone telling them i am in some trouble with the law and i need to go to court! This is from an old account in 2007, which i am disputing. Today, when I finally felt fed up enough I took the daily phone call telling me "the order to show cause obtains a restraining order." I am no dummy. Ive worked for an attorney for over a decade. They are so dumb they dont even use the proper legal terms! An older black man answered the phone and was i guess reading a prompt from a computer screen. He said a process server has been to my house several times and couldnt serve me, etc.. He said I was being charged with felony fraud and theft. I said listen.. to save you your time and enegry, just give me the county the complaint was filed in and the docket number. He hung up on me! I called back again and spoke to another rude man. When I told him i was disputing the matter, he hung up on me too! I called back 7 times. The first 3 attempts, after i got thru the prompts, the phone just rang and rang. I called 3 more times, and the phone never even rang. I got a voicemail saying this number was unavailable. On the 7th attmpet i got the first guy who hung up on me. I said i dont appreciate your unprofessionalism. I have been trying to duspite this matter for years. And this account gets bounced around so often from different creditors that I can NEVER get the proper chance to do so. He said "oh, so you dont want to settle today? I said why would i settle when this account isnt mine! He said ok i am gonna call my procsess server and hoepfully he will come out today. "good luck in court" and hung up on me again! This company is a straight SCAM! They need to be stopped! I am contactiong the BBB and Attorney General today. They cant keep calling me and my family harrasing me. This is account is already on my credit report. They cannot come after me thereafter! On top of it.. a restraining order is for domestic issues ONLY! Dont let these people scare or intimidate you. This is illegal!

If this debt is yours, and its from 2000 - the statute of limitations has expired! Tell them this and to cease and desist! Also, if this account is still on your credit report, write to all three credit beurs to have them delete it.

I received a voice mail from this number earlier this morning. It said that I had a restraining order against me and that myself or my lawyer needed to return their call within 24hrs or the local law enforcement agency would take over. I immediately called my daughter who is a paralegal for my lawyer and gave her all of the information that was given to me. She called the number and got a "Mr. Miller" who was very rude to her and told her that he would only speak directly to "a reputable partner within the firm." She told him to expect a call back immediately and asked his extension number. He replied and hung up on her. She tried to call back (expecting a call center) and it wouldn't accept her call (the number had been blocked). She called from another line and it went straight to his extension (very odd to say the least). She hung up and tried again....same thing. She then gave all of the info to my lawyer and he said that in a "Civil Matter" (as what was stated in the voice mail), you couldn't have a restraining order against someone unless it was a "Domestic" situation such as divorce. It would have to be a "Criminal Case" for that to be in effect. (I already knew this as well.) I am awaiting a call back from him right now. I do believe this to be a "scam" as I am a very honest, law abiding citizen (my father was a police officer for 30 years). It goes against my grain to even think about doing something illegal. People, please call your lawyer if you should receive a call from this number. Have them make the call. If you don't have one and make the call on your own, do NOT give out any personal info. Just ask the person what the call is in reference to and tell them you will need to give all of the info to your lawyer.

Just curious - the claim number for me was A821-2911.  was it the same for anyone else?  I knew it was a scam when they mentioned restraining order.
