hey, seriously they just called me and gave me an offer zation code and verification code and said within 72 hours I would receive a free iPad.... DID YOU HONESTLY GET YOURS OR IS THIS A SCAM PLEASE TELL ME??!!

the phone number was 763-151-2313. call back couldn't be completed as dialed. did anyone ever get their call back?

what info could they gain from entering the codes

i just got the call too. i gave him no info but entered the codes. i was not taking it serious but now wonder if the codes i enter gives hinm access to what ever i do on my ipad.

I just got that call and it seemed legit....I am running virus scans now....there are 'link viruses' I will call my friend jane and tell her to block that number on our phones

Did u really get the iPad. Everything looked & sounded legit. He didn't ask for any personal information so I will see what happens.

I received a call from a (210) 249-0540 number offering a free IPad. Extract same scenario.  I put in a code and I had to click on a progressive ins, geico and mutual ins company. I entered another code and then qualified for Ipad4. I'm suppose to get a call tomorrow. He got annoyed with me because I kept asking if I was being scammed, if he was going to steal information from my computer try or steal from my account. I could hear an echo in the background like I was being recorded. He eventually hung up on me. Oh by the way the number didn't work.

I just got that exact same call you got.

Just received a phone call from a number that began with 978,  The call was from a woman with a thick accent who directed me to iPadqualify.com she gave me a code to enter into a box and I told her that I saw something about a scam on these free iPads, she told me that the company had sponsors who would pay for the shipping on the iPad.  I asked her who would pay for the the iPad as I did not believe I would get a free one.  Again she assured me that her "sponsors" would pay for it.  I told her I would not proceed as I did not believe her claims and hung up.  Two seconds later my phone rang again and it was from the same number it came up as Missouri Company on my phone ID.  I did not answer and she/he did not leave a msg...........very strange.  glad I did not continue with this charade, don't believe that things are "free".  I will buy my own iPad  

And then, you woke up and realized you got scammed!

He called me & gave me a Membership code & also gave me a authorization code & said within  72 hours i will get my I-Pad,
its a christmas gift that I am getting for free & after 3 days i got it dream come true.

I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL STATING I HAD WON A FREE I PAD. I HAD JUST WOKE UP SO I TOOK THE CALL. HE SAID I DIDN'T NEED A CREDIT CARD, THAT I HAD REALLY WON. I DID ASK THE GUY WITH THE FOREIGN ACCENT IF ALL THIS STUFF HE WAS HAVING ME DO WOULD SCREW UP MY COMPUTER. HE SAID IT WOULDN'T. I GOT THE AUTHORIZATION CODE. THEN HE TOLD ME TO GO TO  LIFEINSURANCEPLANET.COM. WHICH I COULDN'T. THEN HE HAD ME CLICK ON THE WINDOW BUTTON N THE R BUTTON AT THE SAME TIME.AND PRESS OK. MY COMPUTER SAID NO FILE FOUND. HE HAD ME DO THIS A COUPLE MORE TIMES. DID I MESS UP MY COMPUTER? I DON'T KNOW. DID I COMPROMISE MY COMPUTER? I DON'T KNOW. I MADE THE CHOICE TO ANSWER THE CALL N WASTED 15 MINUTES OF PHONE TIME THAT I CAN'T AFFORD.I DIDN'T CATCH THE NAME OF THE COMPANY. I THOUGHT I HAD FINALLY WON SOMETHING IN ALL THESE CONTESTS I ENTER. JUST ANOTHER SCAMMER, I THINK. THIS SO SUCKS! I FIGURE WHY CAN'T THEY JUST SEND ME THE I PAD? I AM GOING TO BOOK MARK THE PAGE FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. THE NUMBER IS 770-105-4842 OUT OF GEORGIA

Received call just as 255552 above received no phone number showed up on the caller i.d. said private caller however, other than that gave same info as 255552 above has given.  Different law firms but did the same scenario.  Sounds very odd to me.

sir that's a legal one....you should follow the instruction....they will show you a website of sponsor..so you can go for it......

I just got a call from a man who sounded Eastern Indian who said he was from FreeIpad.net  and said I had won an I-Pad I had signed up for on line. Wanted to no which color I would like. The number was 231-127-3831 He also wanted me to go to Ipadqualify.com but I told him I was not at the computer. He asked when a good time to call back and I said after 2pm. We will see.

I rcvd a call from # 1 551 185 3623 tday and
Asked who he was he named him self Daniel
Smith but I cud tell he was an Indian guy by his
Accesent he told me I had won a IPad & asked
me which color I wanted & told me to go to
iPad qualify.com to claim it but I knew it was a
Scam I just told him to have it & not to waste
his time to call my phone.

i got a call from 803-956-9324. I am real sure tht this is nothing but just a scam

I would strongly suggest you run your antivirus software for a start. But yes, from all I'm reading in the posts above, it appears to be a scam and at least one shill post to perpetuate the "its true" myth.  I just tried that midulattorney.com and no such place exists..  Nothing turned up on google either for it.

I revived a phone call (806)133-4000 tax USA today they said I qualify for iPad and the offer I sign up for I was chosen, so there is no need for personal information, credit card or bank account or personal information just go to http://ipadqualify.com/ and he gave me the code it took me to another page I was told to go to midulawattorney.com and click on top sponsor link, as I was doing this I told the guy on the phone, he seemed like he had to recorded what I was doing. Then when that page open I was told to open the top three links and told the guy as I did it, after that I went back to the code page he gave me a confirmation code and it went to a congratulations you qualify for iPad, any questions go to freeipad.net as this showed the guy told me the same information. He then said someone in different department will be calling me to get my address and I well be sent a iPad! Thing is this a scam ? I

did you have to go to a number of different websites unrelated to an ipad? I just don't get it. my number on phone was a number a message said was not set up. it was2391720173. I wish he would call back. he was very frustrated with me as I do not know my way around the computer yet. new to the cyber world. computers are very much a trap for me. click here and there and you lost your focus on what youre doing. arrrgh.was it an apple ipad and did any of this sound familiar?

I got a similar call but not from that number, cant call back number on phone said its not set up.my phone ran out of charge and we were disconnected, I had taken a survey and that how I won it is what foreign dude said, how about you
