my called ID said bank of America.  I did answer but after she started talking I realized I should not have picked up the phone.  .  called bank and let them know.  

I closed on my house a year ago. They won't tell me anything because the house is in my husbands name even though I pay the mortgage. I have told this every time they've called, yet they call anyway!

Yep, bofa protection  plan, got  letters before and after calls, , and it has been 11 months into year plan

Called from Bank of America about my Borrower's Protection Plan.  He said it's about to change prices because it's been a year since I got it, which is correct.  He said there'd be a letter in the mail shortly explaining my options.  I believe this call is legitimate.

I am also in the process of a bank of america home loan. They have called twice in the last 24 hours. I answered both times and no one was on the other line.

Called back, took 3 attempts, but finally received a professional person on the end of the line.  This *allegedly* is Bank of America.  The rep refused to give me his employee ID number, but did furnish an @bankofamerica.com email address for me to contact him on.  This *allegedly* is a separate division of Bank of America that provides a Borrower's Protection Plan, so I'm assuming each person's information is transferred internally by the departments in an effort to produce a cross sale of services.

From all I've read online, it looks like this number is a fraud number that is calling anyone who has applied for a mortgage from BOA. I tend to believe this since I've been getting multiple calls daily since I've applied for a mortgage from BOA. Is my information being sold or stolen?

Thanks for that. I just received a phone call from the same number but they did not leave a message. I am in the process of finalizing my home loan with BOA so that must be it.

It's Bank Of America validating your home loan you just applied for.

they keep calling me also.. there is another number 571 431 1844 , also from VA .

they keep calling 4 times a day when i call back the number doesnt work. dead air no ring also when i told the rep to stop calling they didnt. told my agent and they said its fraud

number called 14 times consecutively, each call lasting no longer than 1 ring before hanging up, totally annoying

The number is used by a local Richmond, VA Administrative Agency.
