Got a call this morning when I was on another line. No message. But I've gotten in the past week multiple calls from different numbers where they got my first name right and then gave the wrong last name. I've started asking "Who is calling and what is this in regards to?" and get a vague reply. Numbers I've gotten these strange calls from in the last week include:

Got a call from them and they only mentioned a first name, Tom.  We have over 6000 employees here, how many Toms do you think we have.  Another thing to note is the reception was so bad I had her repeat the name several times.  Usually if receptions bad it's most likely telemarketing or something similar.

Ignore the call and left no message.

A guy with a very heavy accent named "Alice" called asking for my CTO - horrifyingly mispronouncing his name, btw.  

I asked him the name of his company and he said he was calling from the office of (?).  It was impossible to understand what he was saying so I put him on hold for 30 seconds then I went back to ask him again what the name of his company was.  He said, "My company is...." and then he hung up.

Guess I wasn't cooperating with his little phishing scam.  Sucks to be you, Scammer!

a lady called and asked to speak with my employer, who was busy. no message.

Called, ignored, left no message.

First call from Carl, Liz Keller?s assistant at Divergent. That phone number was a Colorado number, 719-219-7193.
Five minutes later, call from Michael Taylor from Liz Keller?s office at Divergent. Only this time the phone number was a New Castle, Delaware number 302-356-2801. I asked him to place us on their Do Not Call list.

Yet another call from Brittany with Liz Keller?s office at Divergent. This time from 804-596-1074. I asked Brittany to put us on their Do Not Call list. She said she would.
