"Medical alert" recording

stop calling

got a call from this number.  never answer and turn of answering machine.  how stupid do these people think we are??  name is just CA.

I answer these phone calls saying:
Depertment of Justice, How may I direct your call ?
They don't call back.

Scammer, does leave messages.  I can not block all their numbers as this is the same company and the same male voice that continues to call.  All they do is switch out what area code and phone number when they call.  It has been going on for us since February 2013.  They could be spoofing numbers which means you can not report to do not call.  They prey on seniors and definitely are a scam.  There should be a law to completely shut these people down and a huge penalty to pay.  Sometimes, it shows a state, other times it says ALERT! and sometimes, the number 1 is all that is shown.

Called around noon on Saturday.  12/14/2013.

Have been getting numerous calls from prison systems, US NEWS Global Connections and Medic alert.  These are all unrequested calls and I am on the National Registry for Do not call.  This is just another harassing calling scam.

Hang up call today but have received many calls saying I ordered a medical alert device or one has been paid for.

Did not answer, let ans-machine answer, left no message.  

Just got a call from 805 408 4238, caller ID CA; did not answer, left a message stating that I was entitled to a "free" medical alert system and shipping was included.  I know nothing Is free; the message included a statement that said a friend had recently fallen and given them my name so I would be protected.   Ha, Ha, will block the number.

Did a little digging on the company that owns this number, it's called Silver Strand. LLC, owner is Thomas W. Luczal of Agoura hills, ca. I found his info on this webpage using that info:

Got that call and put it in my blocked numbers list. Sometimes I turn the fax on just to give something back to them to listen to.

Same telemarketing con as from exchanges in Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, North Dakota, etc, etc, etc. Just because these exchanges are listed in the respective states doesn't mean that these con artists are calling from those states.

These calls are obviously routed (and re-routed?) from their original exchanges through one or more exchanges in other states to avoid being traced and to establish greater credibility. Number may be listed under a name or company and local address in the respective state, but since all phone numbers must be registered under a name, those names  (and all similar con-game phone numbers), are in all probability fictitious names, shell companies, non-existent entities.

Tired of these scammers.  They are spoofing numbers. And these ads for free look-up phone numbers, the lookup is free but if you want the number they want your credit card number or bank account numbers or phone number.  Can't trust them either.  Take a hint, anytime you give out your information or phone number, they sell it or post it on the other internet for pron, theives, and the government. Talked a live person once for my Free medical alarm, told him to deliver it seeing that he had my information. He said he had to know where to deliver it and what my phone number was...More lies.. ADT  Vivent more than calls say they want to give me a free alarm, but when they show up, it costs twice what a local company wants for monitoring.

Just got the call here in 617. Did not answer.
The Caller ID just said "CA"

Guy named John called a few minutes.  Wanted to know where to ship my medic alert.  Told him he could ship it to where the sun don't shine.

They leave messages when I'm not home.  They won't answer me when I pick up the phone to talk to them if I am home.  It's a recording that doesn't sound like a recording.  How can I make them stop calling.  You cant talk back to a recording.

Received several calls from a John wanting to schedule delivery of a medical alert system.  I try to tell him I did not order a medical alert system, but  he continues to speak over my voice.  I am concerned this is a scam and someone will give their personal information, thinking another household member may have ordered the item.

Answered this call and tried to talk to caller. I think it was just a recording cause the guy never stopped talking.

get same calls from portland, california, new york, knoxville, just all over the country. when you get on to them they just switch phones. so annoying. if would file a SHERIFFS DEPT harassment complaint, since i am disabled, but just can't figure out who the file it against.

I get calls from this number daily, sometimes more than once a day. I always let the answering machine get it and they never leave a message. So I blocked the number.

Caller ID shows "V204183241046403",  no name.

They called me at 9:25 EST with "CA call" in the Caller ID. Pre-recorded. I was going to yell at them for calling and calling at that hour. It claimed to be an important message for senior citizens.

Second call from this number. Told them not to call back the first time. Person's name is John and he just keeps talking. Won't listen to what I'm saying. Telling me a medical alert is being shipped out to me. I did not order one, nor did anyone else in my house.

Caller ID just came thru as  CA- I didn't pick up and they didn't leave a message.

Go to www.fcc.gov/complaints, and you can file a complaint against them.  I've done this numerous times with calls I've received, and I'm not sure if it works or not.  These scam artists seem to have ways around everything!

I have received numerous calls from this number claiming they are calling to set up delivery of my home medical security system.  Supposedly it's already been paid for.  (NOT by me!)  Since the calls have been on my answering machine, I've tried calling the number back only to get another recording telling me to press 1 if I don't want to receive the call again.  That obviously works well - not.  I'm sure it's some kind of scam.  So tired of these annoying calls even though I'm on the Do Not Call list.  This one doesn't even bother leaving a company name.

I received this call saying that my Medic Alert System was all paid for and all they had to do was ship it and they wanted me to accept the shipment. I tried telling them I never ordered such a thing nor was I interested but it was a recording and they would not take no for an answer!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr I have my number on the DO NOT CALL list so what good is that?
