no message, caller hangs up

those are calls from a degree program.They get your number when you apply for jobs online using certain sites.if u ignore the call and than call them back its an automated system that will let u add urself to their do not call list.Still VERY ANNOYING i got 2 calls an hr from that number till i was put on do not call.

Some how if you applied for a job online they got ahold of your number. It is a school trying to get you to sign up for their program.
If you call the number back a automated system will pick up and says to push option 2 to have your number removed from their calling list.
After you chose that option they should not call you back lol

I took your advice and called them back and went through the system to have my number taken off the list. You were right, it was easy.

Called my cell this morning.  Didn't answer but googled the number and came across this page.  Saw that if you call back they have an option to remove your number.  I tried it and the option is there.  I hope they honor that request.

I got the same calls after i applied for a job online.best thing to do as i learned is from now on stick to craigslist,hotjobs and the bigger know job sites.if u havent already call back and use the automated system to be placed on do not call list.

third time this place has called me. Each time i asked them to remove my number. They would insist I made a request to further my education. I did not do this. Last call the guy argued with me and when I got upset he said he is going to end the call since it's not getting anywhere. When did he get the clue it wasn't going to go anywhere when I first told him I want off there list.

I keep receiving annoying  phone calls from  phone number  805 456 1721 , even after turning this Company ( Degree Street) into  the Better Business Bureau and  only after putting them on the DO NOT CALL LIST , which hasn't worked either .
I'm at wits end . They stole my Cell no after applying for a job on the job site for Chrysler.
Nothing works to keep these fools from harassing us.

They seem to be linked to job hunting websites, and they don't go away.  The first one was a live person.  I told her I did NOT request her call, I'm NOT looking to go back to school, and to REMOVE me from their list.  She politely said ok.  Not long after that, I got another call, and I didn't pick it up.  Then I decided to try calling it back to do as folks say above, about pressing 2 to be put on the no call list, but it never rings, it just clicks, and then silence while the phone is counting time on the call (in otherwords, its still a live call).  So now I'm calling my carrier to request to have this number blocked, we'll see if that works.  I'm also reporting them to the no call registry and the better business bureau, neither of which really cares nor does anything, but at least its documented.

Called asking for my son by name, stating he had requested information about improving his job skills by returning to school.  My son said he knows nothing about it, but had filled out a job application on-line.

First Degree spam call.

These idiots are negatively affecting my job search! When I have called them back, they are rude and you can barely understand them.  It's a place called Degree Street, and when they asked for my husband, I told the guy that he wasn't interested in pursuing further education at this time.  The guy just got ruder and ruder asking me why he wasn't interested.  I finally hung up on him, but they call back at least four or five times a day.

this is twice today that this caller doesn't say a word, just hangs up!  This stuff has got to stop.  Don't need calls like this!

well as most on here, they are trying to get me to enroll in their on-line school, I have told them that I am not interested about 5 times. (2 of the last times they have called I was quite blunt/mean about it) they just keep calling and calling, about 3-4 times randomly through out a day anytime from 7am-10 or 11pm, if I don't answer they just call back in about 10-15 mins till I answer, they never leave a message. I don't know where they got my # since I have 3 college degrees that I am not using as of right now, so going back to school is not really on my plans for anytime in the future. They don't seem to understand this, and keep pushing their school on me. I am going to have to get my # changed just to get them to stop calling me.

Calls my cell phone almost everyday wasting my minutes.

The calls I keep getting from this 805-456-1721 are on my last nerve! I've called this number a few times and have been told 3 times my number would be removed from their calling list. It's a recording of cours. Is there anything legal we can do about this?

Dupree University (?) called me ... I did NOT answer, then called them back and told them to remove my number or I would come to their place of business and fix their wagon ... I suggest you each do the same.  They do have answering service, and this Sunday 3-pm call pissed me off for the last time!

Answered the call yesterday and told them I already have a degree and no plans to go back to school  They called again today.

I also received a call from 805-456-1721.  If you want to opt out it does work to call back and select option 1.

The Number 805-456-1721 has been calling for about a month, i just let the message get it and the whoever is freaking calling never leave a message. It very annoying. My husband answer the phone and the freak ask for me about school, but i just hang up cuz i have no game fro someones B.S. I'm already enrolled in school. Don't need more help. would be good to pay my bills when I attend school or pay for my school. THANK GOD FOR CALLER I.D.

I also applied for a job yesterday through a website called Jobsonline.  My mom had sent the link to me because she seen a job I might be interested in, and in the process of applying I also recall them asking if I was interested in furthering my education. I clicked no and for every sponsor request that popped up. . . I have received two calls from 805-456-1721 and 800-973-0379 today.  I am one of those people that if they are not in my address book, then I do not answer it.  Usually if they aren't in my address book then they will leave me a message and I will call them back but they have not been leaving any messages.  I have never received calls from these phone numbers before so I was curious of where it was coming from so I went on the internet and typed in the 805-456-1721 and to my surprise all of these commits came up about this number and I believe on page 2 someone had made a comment about receiving calls from the 800-973-0379 number also.  I have reject on my phone so I have pushed reject and I will see if they keeps them from calling me.  Also every since I have gone to the Jobsonline site and applied for a job, I have been receiving a lot of spam in my email inbox.  Before yesterday, I hardly ever received spam but just about every one of the spams is coming from an education site.  Again, since I do not trust any emails from someone I do not know, I send it to my spam box so if you are getting a lot of spam that could be one reason.

I JUST got a call from these people about 5 minutes ago (8:08p EST).

I've been getting about four calls a day from people like this. I have Comcast digital phone service and they have a call rejection that they get this: "This caller is not accepting your calls." Or something like that. It's ridiculous!

I got a call from these parasites. Almost everyday too. I forwarded all my calls back to one of their partner company phone numbers so they end up calling them instead of me. My wife's ex got mad at us after we dragged him into court for back taxes he owes and he signed up our cell phone numbers on this and many other telemarketers sites just to be spiteful.

Anyway, I do this until the calls slow down to a couple per day instead of the 20 or so we have been getting. So if you sign up for info you are at their mercy till you tell them to leave you alone and remove your number. But the pass it to all the other parasites so forwarding your calls will work. Don't forget to tell you friends and family you forwarded your calls or they will stop calling you too!
