Same thing, same number about 4 minutes ago.  Glad I saw your post.

Just got a call with someone with a very, very thick accent.  He said someone had been illegally using my computer for over 15 days.  I told him I didn't have a computer.  He said the same thing was happening on my phone.  I asked him how.  He didn't have an answer.  I asked to talk to his supervisor and asked what company he was with.  He said he WAS the supervisor and the company was Internet Fraud company.  I told him to change the name to "Total Scam Company".  He said it was a real threat and not a scam.  I asked him how much it was going to cost to fix it.  He said he'd take my credit card information over the phone and fix it for $290.00 USD.  I told him I didn't have a credit card.  He again said he needed to fix my computer and to go to my computer right away.  I again told him I didn't have a computer.  He said if I had a phone number that meant I have a computer.  I told him to give me HIS number and I'd call him back.  He said he couldn't do that.  I said that I didn't have internet service on my phone, I didn't have a computer, and I didn't have a credit card.  He said I could send him the money Western Union.  I told him that he had to send ME money first to show that it was a real company.  He hung up.  That one was kind of fun!

Just got a call from this number and didn't answer..thanks for the heads up!!!

I received a call from 811 looking for someone else. Definitely a call center.

I also got call from this number, knew my phone but claimed they were a security company investigating computer security breeches. I cussed them out and hung up. Scammers need to be searched out somehow. Dont answer this numbed

I just received call from the same number 811-392-6620 telling me that we had reported issues with our internet service and he would like me to turn on my computer and follow his instruction.  Well!  I am no fool.  I asked him to give me the name of my Internet service provider since he was calling on their behalf,  He could not but rambled off several providers.  I said that was not my question.  I asked again specifically who my ISP is.  He took a guess and mentioned ATT which was absolutely wrong.  I told him I was tracing the call and he quickly hung up.  All calls from area code 811 are scams so beware. If I had fallen for the scam he would have stolen my personal information and more.

receive calls everyday from 811 392 6620  I never answer too many Scam going on in the world now a days

I got a call from 8111095898. I dont know who they are. They also knew my name. I want to know who they are.

I got a call from NO. 773 312 5425
they said they are US Government Grant department in Chicago,
their note was: I have to pay security deposit $ 112. to get my Grant money $ 7 K
and they will refund to me soonest I make deposit $112  to: Sg. verification officer

my question is: why I have to pay security deposit and when I'll give them code (I paid) they will refund $112. to my bank and deposit $7K.
I know it is to good to be true
what should I do?

811 is a town called juba in south sudan. It is a scam. Look on happyzebra.org to look up numbers.

I GOT CALL FROM THIS NUMBER, WHO IS THIS

I got a call from this number today for the first time.  Anyone have any clues of who this is?  I did a lookup on the area code 811 and found thi:
811          0     Reserved for special applications

Are you all really all that naive???!  This is a SCAM - pure and simple.  Do not answer 811 numbers and definitely do not give them any personal information!

You received money to your Unemployment account. This article was very informative. We would have never answered that call because we've been getting so many B2P calls.

I am unemployed and have an account and I just got this call. I am simply confirming this is indeed what this means."this number(811-362-1866)calls people to tell them that indiana state unemployment benefits have been deposited to their account." you cannot ring them back, it won't go through.
I guess the company would be a branch of visa debit card.
