Guy asked for my husband, and I told him that he was unavailable.  He asks, "Is this Mrs. B?"  Yes.  "I'm from (I forget the name) travel in Florida."  I cut him off and say, "Let me guess, I've won a vacation and you want me to give you my credit card number."  His response?  "Well, no, you haven't "won" a vacation, but I DO want you credit card number!"  WHAT?  What on earth is this guy smoking?

I started getting calls from this number after we had two other numbers blocked from this same company.  One time they asked for my first name then hung up.  These calls are so annoying, since I'm home recoving from major surgery.

Yeah have gotten 3 calls now, we tell them not to call back, if it goes to voice mail it automatically switched to a computer and leaves a message, best bet: answer and hang up right away

Received many calls from this number, but all are hang-ups, I've never talked to anyone. When I call the number back, it goes directly to a voicemail message that the mailbox is full and I cannot leave a message. It's getting very annoying

Yep, we blocked their other numbers because they have these free vacations for us. So the have endless number they can call from.
Trouble is we have a large volume of legitimate calls we must take on a daily basis, and we don't have time to listen to their bu***hit.
We need a way to make them pay for the time the tie up our facilities and staff.

Has called me between 10-11 am Hawaiian Standard Time the last 3 days- i never answer because i know its a scam- they never leave a message. I hope where ever they are calling me from burns down.

What would be the point of the caller. If it's a business, it MUST be going broke. If it's a scam, I wouldn't think it's very successful.

We started getting the calls 3 weeks+- ago.  Some days we get several, some days only 1.  Never anyone there but they also do not hang up.

I've rec'd 5 calls this week from 813-436-9690. This AM the girl said she was calling on behalf of Specialty Travel. I told her my numbers are on a national "DO-NOT-CALL" List and I asked for her #. She refused and hung-up. Google Specialty Travel and start calling them.

A dam member of mine is in Florida and when all I heard was some one saying a hole and other things I freaked out. Called it , same message

I have also received about two calls per week from this phone number.
I did not bother to answer.

On 3/25/09 I received a call from a nasty woman from Special T Travel...I found the name after contacting the Division of Consumer Services in Florida...This woman continually talked over me and taunted me. I lost my temper with her and she continued her rant till I hung up.
EVERYONE....please file complaints with DCS in Florida if you want satisfaction.

813-436-9690 belongs to Special T Travel. I found this out by contacting the Florida Division of Consumer Services where I also filed a complaint. I am on the DNC list but the nasty woman who called refused any questions and became more annoying as I pressed for information. I suggest you ALL file complaints with FDCS and get their attention. These people should be fed to the local sharks

These people have been calling me everyday usually 2 or 3 times for months. 7 times I have answered and told them to stop calling me and they usually yell something really nasty and hang up on me. They are extremely rude when you do answer and then they still continue to call. I too called the number back on my caller ID and got the same mailbox is full message.

This nasty woman just called me asking for a Sara. I told her that was not a Sara at this number.  She started screaming at me that I was a liar and she just saw Sara last week!!!  PSYCHO!  Unebelievable temperment.  I ended up hanging up the phone.  When I called the # back it states it is not in service.  This BS needs to stop!  Whomever this company is, should NOT be in business!!!

My husband got a call from 1-813-436-9690. They asked for me by name.  I wasn't home, and he asked who they were and what they wanted.  The woman said it was about a trip I had arranged.  When I got home, my husband was all worried and asked me if I was leaving him.  I tried calling back and got a fax type signal.  After calling back later, I got a fast busy.  I have no idea who this person is.

have missed several daytime calls to my cell, finally answered one and was told it was "customer care" at "Leisure Time Travel" and that I had (big surprise) purchased a vacation several years ago which I'd never used.
When I quietly told her that a) this was absolutely not true and b) my phone is on the national do-not-call list and would she please remove the number from their database, got an extremely rude response and a hang-up. Whew!

The call is from a company called Special(T or ty) travel in Florida. I have got scammed by this agency 9 years ago when they initially started those free vacation packages giveaway by emails. I was naive and had no idea about the scam. To be able to get the free package all I would have to do is pay a registration fee of $350 twice. So I paid once but the hidden fees wouldn't stop coming. They started to come up once I have given my credit card information. So after paying $350 I have decided not to complete my purchase and asked them to refund me my money which by no surprise is not possible. Until today I have received numerous calls from this company (latest today) each time of a "credit account closing special" offer to sell a too good to be true package for only 777-500(credit)=257 but only 168 due to the special. Each time I piss them off by asking for a refund. Do not under any circumstances believe what they say. Bottom Line: Do not give them your credit card number.

This number calls me once a day and it pisses me off.  Nobody is there when I answer and they don't leave messages.

Keeps calling my 15 year old son's cell phone. He has asked them several times to quit calling this number. How can I get them to quit calling my kid !!

If you're as annoyed as I am then google 813-436-9690 or 800-393-3191. You'll see many posts about this scammer. Contact FCC and Florida Dept of Consumer Services. Their numbers are in posts in other messages. The people should be harassed as they have done to all of us.

violating federal law.
