This guy called an hour ago under the name of James Miller, asking for my dad and telling it was a legal issue, he wanterd dad to call him back, fortunately I decided to look in the computer for this number and I verified this is another SCAM. I really don't understand what do this people want. I am so glad of being able to help my parents in this way.

I gtot 2 calls from this number today. I did not answer the calls and they did leave a message. The accent of the person was so heavy that I had noi idea what they were saying. I think He said that is name was John Smith. I may not be the smartest person in the word but he sounded indian to me and I do not think that there are many John Smiths in India.

I too have been receiving these calls. He has an Indian accent and gave me this 814 number and stated he was from the State Attorney office in CA. The area codes in CA aren't anywhere 814. 814 comes from PA. I reported them, but it's scary they have all my information and they keep threatening me.

I received the same call yesterday on my cell phone. It is a scam!!! The guy had a Indian accent and he said his name is Jon Smith. I got this same phone call a couple of months ago. They said that the matter at hand is very time sensitive. I reported and I am gonna report it again. Its a bunch of crap!

they call me to first hes kevin then gary report it to the ftc i did and to my phone company

this person keeps calling me....threatening me with lawsuits.....i dont know anything about this....he wont tell me anything....o

i called ftc they said not to answer the calls their a scam

This is a scam!!! They just called me, call the ftc @ 18773824357 & ask for the fraud dept. Report the # and place an alert on your identity by calling equifax asap 18005256285. Good luck!

I got the same calls and called them back because I didn't know what was going on they said I took out payday loans that I didn't but I did apply for them so I'm guessing that's where they got my info I told that greg guy that he was scamming me and he got very angry and basically threatened me. I told him I was calling the police and asked what the name of his company was and he wouldn't tell me he said I didn't have a right to know but I really don't know how to handle this because someone has to do something about it. It freaks me out that they have my info. any suggestions?

THIS IS A SCAM!  They called my cell phone 3 times in a row, I didn't answer.  They then called my office number of which I am required to answer.  The guy had an Indian accent, and I could hear muffled talking in the background.  He said his name was Kevin something and that he was going to transfer me to his supervisor.  He transfered me to another person, he said his name was Greg Williams, again with an Indian accent and the same muffled talking in the background.  Informed me that he was with a legal firm and there was a pending legal matter and that it was going to court.  He then told me my social security number and asked me if that was my number, I said maybe, I will confirm whateve with you once you let me know what is going on and what law firm this is.  He then became agitated and said he would not do so until I confirmed my information.  I said that isn't going to happen so what now?  He then got even more upset and said he would call my employer and have my wages garnished.  I said go ahead and call them, so he did, however this has happened to me before where I am currently employed so they just play games with him.  Don't give them any money and don't fall for it.
