Phone rang about every hour...my curiosity got the best of me as I recognized the Erie area code, where I once lived many years ago. Anyway, answered with a hello, woman on other end said hello twice as if we had a bad connection, then we were immediately disconnected. It sounded like a telemarketing call. This has been going on a lot since the 1st of the year & I'm getting quite fed up.

Called...sounded like someone was there.  No answer.

Same thing as others...unsolicited --- do NOT answer.

Just had this number call long silence and a computerized goodbye.

This isn't about prank calls or anything like this, it must have something to do with the phone number they call.  Either they've found a way to clone the number or something similar.  There must be some kind of federal agency that actually looks into this kind of thing.  

There seems to be a lot of us having the same problem.  Must be some kind of phone number theft ring or some other kind of techy thing.  There must be some place to report this kind of thing.

Called I did not answer did not leave a message. Looked up the number and could not locate any information for this number.  Sounds. I they call you don't answer.

Same thing. A call from this number asking to talk to the person who paid the electric bill.  They immediately hung up when asked who they were.

I got an African-American lady asking about electric rate discounts.  We are under REA, so she apologized & ended the call.  Apparently REA is getting better rates than their discounts.  I'm even on the  Nat'l Do Not Call List

Long silence then "Goodbye"

Wanted to know who pays the electric bills and how to save money. Hubby hung up

This number called and wanted to speak with the person responsible for paying the electric bill.   Not interested.

Just had the same number call and computerized voice say good bye after a beep

A***ole calls and never says anything. The only thing it does say ina computer voice is GOOD BYE

Calls several times a day then hangs up when answered

They just called me at 9pm as i am trying to put my children to sleep. very thick accent asking about west penn power (electric company). when i complained about time of call, she said she's just doing her job. i said so am i as a mother, doing my job taking care of my children and she should know not to call so late.

Called tonight and wanted to speak with the person who paid the electric bill.  Said we were off the grid, have solar panels and sell electricity to the power company.  He proceeded to hang up on me. :)

The same thing happened to me just now!!! Long silence then "good bye"  .. I am so sick of these calls.. It's constant anymore! I thought being on the "DO NOT CALL LIST" would stop these calls.. A lot of good that is...

Heavily accented man said he was calling from a "medical compensation company " asking me if I had any side effects from using the birth controll yaz or morena...and what they were?!

Just got a call from this numbe recharging "medical compensation". They wanted to know if I used the birth control yaz or morena & what side effect I suffered. It literally took 10 minutes to understand the very heavy accented man. I just hung up...

Shows as "unknown name."

Shows up as "unknown name." No one there when I answered. Anyone know who this is?

I answered because we own property in that area code. There was just long silence and then a computerized voice said "goodbye"

A lady, with a very Asian accent so I could not understand who she was, wanting to help get my "electric rate discount"

These people are a pain in the a** calling and then not talking

They called several times today but when I answered the caller was silent and then I got the dial tone.  When I tried to call back there was a hesitation and then a response "All the circuits are busy."

This number called me today a few times. I tried to call it back from a cell phone and hear "this Verizon Wireless customer is not available". I have no clue as to what it is.
