I too have received phone calls from this number.  I do not answer them since I don't recognize the number.  I did try calling back since I thought it was a friend of mine who is in State College/Central PA and I did not get an answer.

Calls from the university asking for donations from former Penn State students come from a 1-800 number.

I've gotten a call or two from this or similar numbers. I recently graduated from Penn State and was worried it was an important call from an official number. But from reading these comments, it seems it is not official - or if it is, they're just asking for donations. I tried Googling the number to find out if it showed up on any department websites, and so far, it has not.

I got a call from this number. I hate calls like this. Is it because I did not manage my personal information well during all those online job application submissions?

Yes, it is Penn State. I was able to get a location and it came back to Penn. They are soliciting for contributions.

I keep getting calls from this phone number too!  Same thing they don't leave a message and if you pick up they hang up.

Have been getting calls from this number every night for almost a month. They don't leave a message and if you answer, they hang up. If you call back, you get a recording asking you to state your name in the Global Voice system for assistance. I reported to DoNotCall
