I received  a call from this number. Who are they?

I got the same text message last night, saying EMPOWERFCU automatic reminder with this number.  Return address was listed as info@normal.com. I did not respond.  I don't have an account with empower and figured it was a scam.  I called empower this morning.  The woman who answered told me that this is in fact a scam.  Whoever is behind it is texting as many numbers as possible, trying to get people to respond and provide account information. They have documented it. DO NOT call that number and give any personal info!

a text from empowerfcu to call for automatic reminder 1-815-304-7646. looked up number and found out a scam from this site so didn't call.

got a text saying was EmpowerFCU, auto reminder. This number isn;t listed with them. didn't call back

I got three texts from this number in one day, one after 10:00PM, it said "alarion automatic reminder. Call (815)304-7646)"
I didn't call them because I figured it was a scam since I don't bank with Alarion....

Got a text, was the same as the others.  A credit union telling me to call them back.

Got a text page from my credit union asking to call 815-304-7646.  Instead I checked my credit union's website and saw no messages.  Typed number into google and found reference to this being a scam number on your website.  Thanks.

I recieved a text from 815-304-7646 as well, they were claiming to be credit union services. When I called the number (knowing it was a scam but wanting to see what they wanted) they asked for my credit card number and kept saying that I would need to provide 3 additional pieces of information. Definitely a hoax, so don't fall for it.

I received a text message with the subject ALARION. When I called this number stated in the message a recording starts out asking for credit card account numbers and 3 other forms of personal information. I received 2 such texts in 1 hour. My wife also received the same text.
