Got a call after midnight saying my ATM card had been fraudelantly used and deactivated. Asked to press 1 to reactivate...... nothing.......

Got a call from this number over the weekend. Same as reported above, said my ATM card had been shut off, press 1 to re-activate.
I pressed 1 just to see what would happen. They of course wanted me to enter my card #. Yeah, right... Reporting to the Attorney General, not that they will do anything about it.

same msg for the visa card. www.donotcall.gov is where I file all my complaints. Whether or not they do anything about this scam is another thing...

Got an automated call on my cell phone at 9:21pm telling me my VISA debit card had been deactivated due to a security breach. I did not follow prompt but hung up and called the number displayed on my phone and got the RSVP for a wedding message. Checked with VISA Fraud and they had no record of my account being a problem.

I got a chance to call last night and again today. (FYI...For verizon wireless users, if you dial *67 then the number it's masked your number on the caller ID.) So it ended up as a RSVP for a wedding, which is legit.
So the user is masking their number, which I know there are software that can do this; like a freeware for Blackberries and some VOIP.

Seems to be the new Phish Du Jour - we have recieved multiple complaints from our clients who received these calls, and thought it was our bank- it is not- and were worried- all this afternoon- over a dozen reported by 4:45 PM EST, just since 1:00 PM EST

received a call on my cell phone (automated voice) that my visa debit card had been canceled due to a security breach.
it prompted me to press 1 to be connected to their 'security department' for a replacement card.
this is a textbook phishing scam! do not follow prompts, ever!

I just got this call and answered. It says that is was a automated voice message, that my Visa Debit Card was deactivated for security reasons, and to reactivated it, I needed to press 1 to continue. I just kept slient and didn't do anything. The caller hung up after about 10 seconds
The messages a computer voice [non-robotic sound] and choppy like it was long-distance.
According to whitepages.com the number's a landline from Kankakee, IL.
