Unfortunately we did not cancel the appointment and are out $5,000.  The incentives they offer are nearly impossible to redeem and the salesman over represents their services.  AVOID

I Even went to this place wasted by gas and time. Luckly I didn't buy anything but I got a voucher for listening and when I mail to the respective adress and the mail came back saying that the adress doesn't exist. I am planning to talk with local news and inform them about this fraud. So that people don't loose any money.

The letter head says "US Airlines" and that you have won a free trip anywhere in the US for a value of $1350. Only if you attend a 90 min seminar. I did call them but they are not US Airlines. Big Scam.. Run Run Run.

My. Husband and I were two of the idiots that actually bought this scam.  We have yet been able to use it.  The guaranteed condo on the beach for a set price of $800 for seven days turned out to be a condo for $2700 and to even in the city we requested. Our free cruise cost almost $800.  We are both intelligent people.  I still don't know how we fell for this.  Specially since y husband is retired and we are living on social security.

The name of the company that did the presentation is called Simplicity Travel but the company we have to use for our services is Tradewindsvacations.   They claim they never heard of a guaranteed rate for a condo.

I am going to contact an attorney to try and get our money back.  We signed a contract but they are not provided the services that were promised.

Received the letter over the Christmas holiday for 2 roundtrip tickets, and they threw in 2 Marriott nights, with the call back number of 855.879.8217. THe company was 'One and Only Travel' in Toledo OH, operating out of the Toledo Hilton on Glendale St. When I told them that was too far to drive, they set up an appointment in Ann Arbor MI at GCN Travel, operating out of the Sheraton on Boardwalk St. The call back number was 1.855.879.8217, and 'Josh's direct number' he gave me is the same 877.313.3326 cited many times on this site. Thank you all for the posts. We will NOT be attending the appointment and saving ourselves the aggravation.

I hope people read this and know that these travel deals are a total scam.  My wife and I received the mailing with the offer of an 8 Day/7 Night Cruise for 2 with an outside cabin, leaving from any major port in the U.S. If we called within 48 hours we would be selected to receive, as a bonus, 2 round trip airfares leaving from or going to any major airport in the continental U.S.  We attended on Aug. 14, 2012 to an outfit calling themselves Simplicity Travel located at 4835 North O'connor Road in Irving, Texas 75062.  To make a long story short, we bought into this vacation travel package after we kept saying that we couldn't handle the $9593 buy-in price and they kept dropping the fee until finally we said okay to $3644.  We got a nice little fake leather satchel with some generic travel brochures and filled out a lot of forms and left to plan some travel.  Over the next 4 months trying to make arrangements for vacations, we found that their so called helpful people couldn't produce any reduced rate vacations that we couldn't do better searching for them on the web by ourselves. The free cruise resulted in sending money via certified mail to Millennium Travel & Promotions, Inc. located at 424 Luna Bella Lane, Unit 115, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168.  We are now on our third refusal saying they cannot accommodate our selected travel dates and to reapply with new dates each time saying that reservations are confirmed 45-60 days prior to our selected date.  We are still working on that one but if our one year travel allowance time expires, then we would lose out money and they would not have to send us on a trip.  I kick myself for falling for any of this.  I called their business office number and got a recording with their hours of operation which by the way do not add up to a full 40 hour work week leading me to believe that all their employees are part time, therefore receiving no job benefits.  One evening I staked out the parking lot of the complex and handed out some homemade 3 X 5 cards to some of their potential customers.  The cards read, "ATTENTION:  IF YOU RECEIVED AN INVITATION FROM SIMPLICITY TRAVEL WITH THE PROMISE OF A FREE TRIP OR TRIPS, DO NOT BUY INTO IT.  YOU WILL BE SCAMMED!  TAKE THIS ADVICE FROM SOMEONE WHO IS OUT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS".

I then went inside to hand out more cards.  I was ushered to an office where I asked for a full refund of my $3644 because they were a bunch of scam artists.  One of their underlings spoke to me and said that we had signed a contract and they couldn't refund our money.  I told them that they did not hold up their end of the contract. I further said that I would be back to distribute more 3 X 5 cards to their potential customers.

I think they thought I had given up, so I waited over the weekend and showed back up waiting until their office waiting room was full of customers.  I walked in and started handing out cards when the same underling as before, said, "Come on back to the office and talk".  I said, "why don't we just talk in front of these nice people?"  He said I could talk to the General Manager so we proceeded back to the same office as before.  The first thing out of his mouth was, "We can't have you coming in here and handing out these cards to our customers. You are costing us a possible loss of $30,000 a day.  I have a good mind to call the Police and have you thrown out on your a**".  I said, "I've got the Irving Police on speed dial as I want to file a theft report anyway against you, I'll just use my cell phone."  He said, "what do you want?"  Again I advised him just like I did the other guy that I wanted a full refund of $3644, not a penny more or less and it had to be a cashier's check or money order as I didn't take personal checks either.  He slammed his hand down on the desk and said, "wait right here."  Shortly he came back and said that he had talked to Corporate and I would have a check on Friday and that I had to turn in my imitation leather case and contents.  The holidays came into play and when UPS tried to deliver the check, they were not open so It was not until the following Friday that I received my refund.

On Wednesday the 2nd of January, I sat down with an Irving Police Detective to report what had transpired with Simplicity Travel to get them on the police radar.  I also furnished him with vehicle tag numbers of vehicles used by ST employees.  I don't have a theft case against Simplicity Travel since I got my money back.  So a word to those who may read this, remember the Police are your friends and they can't help you unless your report things to them.

And if you lost money, you may want to try what I did.  It worked for me.

Have a Happy New Year.

I worked for the company for 2 years and they have treated me really good. They fly me every where and put me up in great hotels and pay for all my meals. We had to leave this morning from Cedar Rapids because of all the rain. My boss said something about another flood. Oh well, you guys have been great . Thank you.

I got burned by Scenic Valley Travel in Cedar Rapids. Some ugly guy with a bad mullet named Bill gave the presentation. The price was close to $9,000 to start. We kept negotiating and got it down close to $4,000.
I wish we never signed up. I found negative things on this guy in places like Pensacola, Florida. The gift is crap and there are no travel discounts. Don't get sucked into the Scenic Valley Travel Scam.

They are definitely in Cedar Rapids going under the name of Scenic Valley Travel...meetings to be held at the Longbranch. My "voucher" is for 2 free roundtrip airline tickets up to $1400. I told the sales gal I wanted to do some homework on the company before we set up a meeting, and this was the first place Google returned. She said "absolutely"...go check them out.

Glad I didn't set it up.

Now they have my name because I had to give her the "reference claim number" that was on the voucher....I suppose now we'll get TONS of free stuff!  haha

Nearly Got Us -
We went to the presentation this week .  . and bought into it .  .  . THEN researched the next day!  All the negative reports and scam accusations made me sick!  I felt soooo stupid!  Called my credit card co.  - they said nothing could be done until it posted!   Today, I called back and was told I had to send in a letter with all the details I could to the Dispute Department.  I have researched all day.  Came across your post and called credit card company back to cancel.  Still have to go through Dispute to get charge (over $6000!) reversed.  Scary!
You mentioned the .net website - I just looked it up.  Were you able to get in to it?  It requires ID & pw.  I clicked on the "condos - vac. packages - etc" at top.  The little paragraphs for each said basically same as presentation - condo for $499 . . . 50% off . . . 75% off and such.  The "wave reviews" - only positive reviews I've seen (except 2) - sounded like people who used the service were happy  -  IF those are from real members, not made up.  What made you suspicious?   I read that .  . and sorta wonder what the truth actually is.
All the reviews I find are from non-members complaining about the presentation and calls, etc.  WHY won't members give reviews??   I'd love to hear from someone who has tried it.   Someone who is not on Their website.
Thanks for all the info you provided.  Have you heard from anyone who actually tried the service?

I talked to my cousin and it appears Scenic Valley Travel is in Cedar Rapids. The same one I visited in Des Moines. Lots of pressure, the price keeps coming down the more times you say no. And the cruise gift has so many loopholes it will never work. Iowans be on the look out for this group.

Do not purchase from Simplicity Travel! The scammers in Brentwood got us for almost $4,000. By the time you check things out and find out the deals aren't any good they tell you they don't have to offer you a refund because there is no rescission in Tennessee. What a ripoff! Someone besides me need to notify the AG about this.

From reading this website It looks like this same company Simplicity Travel is in Indianapolis and Irving, Texas. If that's the case don't buy anything! If you did do we what we did and dispute your credit card charge.

Went to meeting tonight in Brentwood, TN held by Simplicity Travel.  Drab rented office space, no real office furnishings and several "car salesman" type representatives.  Same scenario as all have described above.  Presenter was our agent and when we said no to him, we were ushered into a small conference room with the "big cheese" who started reducing the $8,999 package and finally got to $2,500.  Continued to say no and he quickly moved on to other couples and we were dismissed with our gifts of a cruise and airfare.  WARNING !!!!  Read the fine print on the gifts brochure, it costs and there are so many restrictions, it's really not worth what it cost to print the literature.  I would never send them money.  This is a TOTAL SCAM !!  Don't waste your time. I am going to see if one of the investigative reporters at TV stations here in Nashville will rat them out for what they are.

1-877-547-7302  ---  Suppose to be Simplicity
Travel (I had to ask for the name of their company), the conference we are to attend is at the Courtyard, 8670 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN.
The call back # is 1-877-313-3326 -- Scott

An envelope addressed to me with the return address stating:  "FINAL NOTICE"
"Verification of Reservation Information Required" etc....seemed very important and official:(  Inside this government looking envelope:
"Congratulations"
"Carnival" "Congratulations, you have been selected to receive* an 8 Day/7 NIrght Cruise for 2 with an outside cabin, leaving from any major port in the U.S."  "You have been selcted to receiveI* 2 round trip airfares leaving from or going to any major airport in the continental U.S."

Scott, the wonderful salesman, sounded to good to be true.  I've read the above and his sales speech was like above.  We're suppose to go to the meeting, but like several others, I think we'll give it up!  What's the old saying, "Nothing's free"  Thanks for all of your postings.

Definitely sounded too good to be true. Asked what the catch was...."Beth's" only reply to that answer was that we would listen to a 90 minute presentation. The presentation is at a hotel (not a real travel business). There doesn't appear to be a website for this company supposedly located in Indianapolis - Simplicity Travel. She said my boyfriend and I had to bring our driver's licenses and a major credit card. SCAM!
