So I kept getting calls from the same number, and numbers from all over the US since 8 am today..
I answered once and this Indian starts saying stuff about loans. I could barely understand anything he said. He knows my name from a survey..

The bad thing that happened is that my doctor's office called from a different number and I answered but said nothing thinking that the call is from that company! They called me several times and they left a message saying that I need to contact their office. It was so embarrassing!!

One of the calls I answered and started saying "hello" in a creepy voice.. he asked if I am *my name*, but I kept saying "hello" until he hung up :P Next time I will make creepier screaming voices! I'll give those a**holes nightmares!

I think the best idea is to block the numbers.

Been getting calls from quite a few of the same numbers, same times now too. They claim to be pay day loans, debt consolidation, or just don't say anything at all... really annoying since I have inquired about none of these things!

Person has called me 4 times just today.  Heavy accent, Indian, I believe, and telling me I am approved for credit! (That was left on voicemail).  I answer now with "Stop calling me!" and hang up.  I turn off my phone at night, so might be getting calls then, too.

I am like the rest of you guys. Getting calls at 6:30, 7:00 and all hours of the day & night. Most of the time they hang up on me. I think they are using routing programs because they called from TWO other local Las Vegas numbers right before the call from this numbers comes in. The LV numbers they call from are; 702-701-5182 & 702-701-5179. I called those numbers back. The 5179 # says its an IP re-rerouting company. Then it says press "0" for an operator. Of course I press 0, and I get this cheesy, $10.00 K-Mart sounding, answering machine message telling me to leave a message, then a beep that real does sound like it is coming from one of those answering machines from the 80's!  Then I call the other 702 number #5182, I get a fast busy tone. Then when this 646 # called at 7:30 today, I called them back. It was silent. I called again and now it says "I'm sorry but the person u r trying to reach isn't accepting calls at this time" it was the cell phone company message. It's a scam people! Don't give them one bit of private info!!

I also have gotten several calls from at least 10 or more different numbers for the past 3 days. Today I have gotten 52 calls on my caller Id no messages left. This is ridiculous. I am on the national do not call list, I have answered a few to tell them to remove me from their calling list, I have even blown an air horn into the phone to get the calls to stop. Someone help. I just want it to stop.

Today I have had at least 15 calls from various area codes.  According to the posts on this site at least 4 of them are invalid area codes.  These b*****ds have driven me nuts today.  They are relentless calling 1 minute after another call using a different area code or bogus area codes.

These scammers are probably calling from India and are spoofing a New York State phone number.  They are using robodialers.  They are trying to find people who 1) answer the phone and 2) believe their story about being owed money by you.  Again, they are scammers.  

Do not answer the phone when unknown numbers call you.  If you do answer, tell them nothing.  Hang up.  Report them immediately to www.donotcall.gov.  Add them to your phone's address book under SCAM.  Block the number if you can.

Yes lately iv'e been getting, alot of unwanted callers, and each time i answer,  it's always a person with an indian accent, or some sort. Always asking, for a member of my, family. So I tell them that, they got the wrong number, and to stop calling my house, he start to cuss. I tried calling the number, back and its a recording, saying you have reach, a number that is no longer, in service. These people is freakin crazy. Somebody law enforcement, should do something, about these criminals.

These people are calling me 6 and 7 times a day, often one after another.  It is irritating as I am in class all day and can not answer my phone.  I've gone so far as to try to call them back to ask them to stop, but when I do I just get a busy signal.

I don't know who they are or even what they want.  I just want them to leave me alone.  I am very broke college student and can not afford to buy anything right now.
